Maybe I did not do enough research before booking this heritage hotel. I was on the ground floor in a double bed room and could hear people walking on the room above me. The entrance has two fold doors which I always need to open both sides before I can get in comfortably. The doors to the courtyard was squeaky. There was also one day where there was foul smell inside the room, which only went away after the make-up service. The dual tap mixer was hard to adjust to get the proper temperature for shower. Sometime I could here people coughing outside the room. The quality of the room does not justify the high price that I paid, in comparison with the other hotels around it.

Was a great stay, nice property, helpful staff, wonderful location. However, as I was checking out, I was charged USD 10 for a laundry bag. Have travelled and stayed across the globe, and got charged for a laundry bag for the first ever time in my life. I saw no price tag on it too. Since I didn't have time to talk, I just paid and left, but left with a bad taste in my mouth.

I fully understand how this may have impacted your perception of your stay, and I regret any inconvenience caused. We have reviewed this matter with our Front Office and Housekeeping teams to ensure greater transparency and prevent a recurrence. Should you wish, I would be happy to personally assist in arranging a refund for the laundry bag charge. We had a beautiful room at 3 Nagas for four nights. Location is very convenient. This is an old building that has been restored so you will hear other guests but it was worth it. Really appreciated the very kind staff who took great care of us and helped make our stay perfect. - John & Arthur

Central, yet a little noisy

The hotel is situated on both sides of the main road of Luang Prabang and is thus very central. Due to the alms ceremony, which takes place directly in the street in the very early morning, and all the traffic, it isn’t the quietest street for restful sleep. The hotel staff was friendly and professional. The service staff in the restaurant and bar was always friendly. The room was large and clean and suited our needs. The breakfast was served à la carte and was always more than enough and delicious. The hotel organised our airport transfers and our trip to the waterfalls with care. Despite the friendliness of the staff, we would choose a quieter location next time. On our arrival in the evening, we were able to pre-order something from the bar menu as it was too late for the restaurant. Be aware, that the  “fish and chips” on the bar menu were actually fish and potato crisps . We were rather surprised.

Very central, the hotel have a nice typical style similar to the houses in central Luang Prabang Staff was attentive and helpful. Minor negative point : the bathroom would need some modernisation
