I stay in Birmingham two nights a week and my hotel of choice is Ibis Styles NEC, unless there’s a big event on st the NEC when prices quadruple to ridiculously unaffordable rates. The hotel is well located a short walk from Birmingham International Rail station, is comfortable, clean with a decent breakfast and evening meals served in the restaurant. What sets it apart however are the staff that are all friendly, courteous and welcoming .

I stayed here just before Christmas for a one night stay and it was perfectly adequate. As others mention, check in took a while and the hotel was quite rowdy. Most probably due to the Christmas party nights at the NEC. I wouldn’t mind staying again to see the difference. Room was good enough for a short stay. Bathroom has seen better days most notably the shower floor. Air con worked well and the windows opened which was great. The bed was super comfy. I believe it was a king bed even though I booked a queen room. We walked with our cases to the airport which was fine for us, but I notice some people did get taxis. Breakfast was good. Would I return… yes!

A few minutes walk from Birmingham International station and you arrive at this small but perfectly formed hotel. Friendly reception staff, comfy bed, good breakfast selection. And close to Birmingham NEC and Resorts World Arena/BP Pulse Live. What's not to like!
