We had been invited to a wedding just outside Crewe so decided to stay a couple of nights, because I’m a All member I picked this hotel for bed and breakfast. A little remote, but was OK for what we needed

I always stay here every year for the BTCC at Oulton Park, always a nice friendly reception, nice clean rooms and great location

On arrival, reception was in-manned, however the staff who was serving at the bar, did note us. Whilst standing, for several minutes, ( my partner actually went back to our car, which we had parked at far end of car park ) and I was still waiting! Another member of staff, passed me by several times, without a smile or greeting, but did force me to step out of his way, and the wheeled cage he was pushing with vigour. Eventually, the staff who was serving at the bar, came to reception. No apology for our wait, no smile or greeting- turns out He was the Customer Service Manager. He took payment, but told me I couldn’t have a receipt until I Checked out. I was then handed my swipe card, with no offer of directions to find the room, until I requested it?!?! I found that non of the staff could pleasant to the guests, but talk and laugh with each other behind the bar, and snatching up glasses and plates without asking if finished with? I spoke to the Customer Service Manager, to convey my disappointment, especially after he mumbles because I did indeed request my receipt of payment. I pointed out his and his staff’s attitudes and lack of customer service- but apparently by putting him on the spot, could only have him say “ I don’t like your tone”. My sister-in-law had discussed the party layout with the hotel staff, as it was her 50th birthday, however on arriving earlier in the afternoon, she & my brother had to move sofa’s & units themselves as nothing had been done in preparation, as promised, with no reason offered, or apology either…….

Nice bright and quiet location

Just stayed one night whilst on business. Arrived late and departed early, but still able to pick up a drink from the bar before retiring for the evening. Nice cool room away from the lift, so a nice quiet room, just 10 minutes walk from the railway station.
