Your staff was the one who confirmed our booking over the phone. If we had been informed in advance that Ibis Hotel could not accommodate five people in two rooms, we would never have proceeded with the booking. Your staff specifically confirmed that one room could accommodate two adults and one child, which is why we agreed to reserve the rooms. This was not our fault. When we arrived, the two reception staff checked us in. They clearly saw our child and even checked the child’s QID, yet they never informed us that we needed to book an additional room because the room occupancy was not allowed. Only after we had already settled into our rooms and unpacked our belongings did a Filipina staff member call our room to tell us that we had to book another room because three people were not allowed to stay in one room. This was completely unacceptable and should have been communicated before or at the time of check-in. To make matters worse, one of the reception staff also informed us that only four people could have breakfast, even though they were fully aware that we had a child with us. This reflected poor communication and inconsistent handling of our booking. The entire experience was very disappointing. The lack of proper communication from your staff caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience. We expected much better service and professionalism. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we will not recommend your hotel to our friends and family, and we do not intend to stay here again.
