I stayed at the ibis Styles Kyoto Station and unfortunately it was a disappointing experience. The room was extremely small, even by Japanese hotel standards. The interior felt dated and in need of refurbishment, and basic amenities were lacking. There wasn't even coffee provided in the room, and many amenities had to be collected from reception rather than being readily available for guests. The bed and pillows were also quite uncomfortable, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep after long days of sightseeing. The only real positive was the location, being directly opposite Kyoto Station and convenient for transport. However, there are several newer and more comfortable hotels in the area available for a similar price, making it difficult to recommend this property based on value for money. Overall, while the location is excellent, the dated rooms, lack of in-room amenities, and uncomfortable bedding mean I would choose a different hotel on my next visit to Kyoto.

Well located, decent room and a good breakfast. On the negative side I think the interior in the breakfast restaurant is to plastic, very sheep impression. The work place in the room is to tight, to little room to sit and work
