Check-in was via an iPad which wasn’t advised before I arrived so I spent time looking for a staff member before working out I had to check myself in. The process was easy which helped. Parking was a pain as it wasn’t signposted so I had to find it myself. The room was nice however the bathroom tiles had mould in the shower. The aircon sounded like a jet aircraft even on low so I ended up turning it off to get some sleep. The small fridge was also working overtime and was very loud so I turned it off too. It only contained a small milk container and in over frosted icebox. There was a door connecting to the room next door and I could hear very word spoken by the guests next door. I don’t think I will stay here again.

While the self check in process is designed to be simple, we understand that not being aware of it in advance can be frustrating on arrival. Parking access and signage should also be clearer and I am sorry this caused inconvenience. It is disappointing to hear about the noise issues, as well as the condition of the bathroom and the equipment in the room. This is not the experience we aim to provide, particularly when guests are staying for family reasons and need a good night’s rest. We appreciate you outlining your experience in detail and regret that we were unable to deliver a more comfortable stay on this occasion. Well located for a visit to the Macquarie University Hospital Clinic over a few days. Very comfortable Mercure hotel. The breakfast buffet is really very good and the inclusion rice with a selection of condiments is appreciated. The sausages are a highlight and all the food was nicely prepared. The hotel had an issue with a food delivery, so the food menu missed several items. The Ham and Pineapple Pizza I had from room service was not so nice. All the staff I encountered were professional, friendly and engaging, always helpful. Overall an very good stay and I will stay again. Thanks very much.

Overall stay was good, but the room was dusty even the TV, the telephone were always dusty.
