Cockroaches in room

We are here now and are half way through our 8 night stay. On the 2nd day we saw cockroaches in our room and complained. We were told the room would be sprayed immediately. However, 24 hours later and we have more cockroaches in the room. The duty manager has said they will send someone up to sweep them away if we point them out! I asked about the spray and he said they will do that but can’t find any spray at the moment - makes me wonder if they bothered spraying yesterday. We’ve stayed here several times over the last few years and it is definitely going downhill. There are also maintenance issues - broken iron, broken balcony blinds (no sign of the blind being repaired despite our request 2 days ago) but the cockroaches and manager attitude to the problem is the worst. We will never stay here again and will be looking for a clean hotel to move to tomorrow.

A wonderful 5 start hotel. The only reason I didn't score our overall experience as 10, is: a) we were going to have some after dinner drinks with our friends, and were disappointed that the hotel's bar closed before 10:30pm b) staying in a 5 start hotel, I would expect a nice "buffet" breakfast.

Place is very tired. We had to move rooms because the first one was unclean and the furniture was chipped, making it risky for our kids. Communication was clunky. The concierges were excellent but otherwise very disappointing

Upon entry, the Pullman had a very clean appearance. The receptionist wasn’t very experienced which delayed our check in slightly as she had to seek help from a colleague. However, we appreciated the early check in. The room was spacious and well decorated. We found the tea wasn’t fully replenished and the mini bar card was filled out by the previous people staying. It also would’ve been nice to know that the milk was complimentary instead of having to ask. We were pleasantly surprised to find a lot of amenities that other hotels don’t offer immediately - such as robes and slippers, which we usually have to request. The view was beautiful and we loved the balcony. The phone in the room was functional. Only having an ice tray was a little inconvenient and we only realised later on that we could request an ice bucket from reception. The bed was extremely comfortable to sleep in. The entertainment options provided on the TV felt very restrictive as you had to pay $15 to watch anything. Most hotels allow you to log in to your streaming service to watch movies or airplay from your phone, which would’ve been fantastic. Location wise, we found it easy to access shops and food. For breakfast, a buffet style breakfast would’ve been preferred. The food was adequate and the servers in the restaurant were nice and attentive. The receptionists on night duty were helpful and friendly. The spa in the room wasn’t completely clean as we found some hairs around the tub not belonging to us. The pool was really nice initially but unfortunately we found vomit floating in the deep end which spoiled the experience.
