The 1 bedroom self-contained apartment with harbour views represents excellent value for a family of four. Stunning views !! The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering, and it's an easy walk to ferries, train and tram stations, cafes, and The Rocks. Sydney is so much more pleasant with George Street closed to vehicles. It's made the city far more tourist friendly. Having an al fresco lunch at the Fortune of War pub and strolling around The Rocks was such a positive experience and brought back fond memories of this city that I'd fallen out of love with.

So called upgrade was a downgrade to a re-furbished queen suite, when my company always books Superior suites when we travel to Sydney head office on Bond Street. I was also told that my "upgrade" did not include breakfast, completely false, as superior queen suites always come with free breakfast. Upon challenging your receptionist, she suddenly exclaimed "Ohh you are right". I do not like being judged upon appearance or race, and every other venue I have been to across the country this is the first where it was blatantly obvious. I made no scene, or commotion I just accepted my key as I was running late for an important conference. That night I could barely sleep as the aircon was extremely loud and not functioning properly., The suite I was put in was clearly refurbished and made my stay very unpleasant. I also cut myself on a very sharp object on the facing wall of the bath. I am senior engineer with my company, and I have already let our Travel team know about this disgusting behaviour at Sebel Quay West Suites Sydney. Also, when ordering my breakfast in the morning, it arrived minus a beverage and condiments I ordered. I will not be returning to Sebel Quay West Suites Sydney

Your reservation was originally booked into a non-refurbished City View Superior Suite, and our team upgraded you at no charge to a non- refurbished Harbour View suite. I apologise that this was not clearly explained and for the issues you experienced with the air-conditioning, bathroom condition, lighting, and breakfast service. These matters have been escalated to our Engineering, Housekeeping, and In-Room Dining teams for immediate attention. In relation to your comments about how you felt on arrival, I want you to know that we take this feedback very seriously. Your perception of that interaction is important, and I am genuinely sorry that you were left feeling this way. We have a proudly diverse team at Quay West, with colleagues from the Pacific Islands, Asia, the Sub-Continent, the Americas, Europe, and Australia, and we remain committed to ensuring every guest feels respected, valued, and welcomed at all times.
