Staff were friendly, polite, attentive and very helpful. Room was well presented, clean, comfortable, quiet and had a great view of Darlinghurst and the harbour. Pool and Spa facilities are great, sitting in the spa at 10:30pm looking at the city lights was a treat. Hotel location is perfect, on the boundary of the CBD and eastern suburbs, close to Cafe's, restaurant's, night clubs, Hyde Park, Museum, Art Gallery, Botanic Gardens, City Centre, etc. We spent a day exploring the back streets of Darlinghurst and Oxford St, lots of boutique shops, old terrace houses, old and new architecture, street art, history, coffee, food, and the vibrant Sydney LGBTQI+ culture. The All Accor+ benefits were lovely (thank you). The room service menu was good. We felt the restaurant and bar were lacking in atmosphere, but the food, drinks and service were good. During our stay we visited Mee-So Restaurant at the Ibis Hotel, only 5 minutes walk away. And Bar Tilda at the Sofitel Wentworth, only 15 minutes walk away.

We stayed at the Pullman at Hyde Park the last two nights, and had a really poor experience. As Gold Accor members we really expected much more from our stay and were really disappointed.  What was supposed to be a family holiday was really uncomfortable. When we arrived, the room wasn't ready (after 2pm) and we had to wait 20 minutes with tired children for our room to be prepared. We weren't offered any help or other options. Once we had gone up to our room we recieved a call that my request to have alcohol removed from the mini bar hadn't been done and they would send someone to that "straight away". It was over an hour before someone arrived to do this.  Our air conditioning in our room wasn't working properly, it took someone almost 2 hours to come check it out after we asked for help, and then once someone came in - said they couldnt do anything- we didn't hear back until I called reception using my mobile as the room phone didn't work consistently. We then got told someone would bring us a fan, which again took over an hour. Our TV remote stopped working and the TV was stuck on until someone supplied a new one which also took a long time.  We were told the breakfast was included in our package when I checked in, and then the next morning were informed that was only for one day of our stay - not both - which was a bit of a shock. My children were very disregulated throughout the stay due to the temperature, and I was unable to sleep well. This is not something I am at all happy to have paid so much for, or what we would expect from a Pullman hotel.  Communication was awful throughout and when I expressed how dissatisfied I was with the experience on checkout I just got a "sorry to hear that" dismissal.  Later on the day we got home we received a bill for the alcohol mini bar items we had removed from the room. It was rectified with an email but it really showed a lack of care. I emailed all of this to the hotel a full day before writing this review and although I got a response about the minibar costs I didn't get any response to this feedback in a timely manner. Good points: The breakfast buffet was great, had lots of options, everything was hot and fresh. The staff were kind and attentive. Our kids loved the variety. The kids meals at the restaurant were really reasonably priced and good quality. My son demolished his spaghetti bolonese and my daughter's chicken tenders and chips were great. We were pleased to find we could use our free welcome drinks (included with membership) on non alcoholic drinks with dinner. There was sunscreen available for use at the pool, and clean towels rotated regularly. The space was busy (no seats available, plenty of people sitting on the ground, lots of people in the pool).
