Can't believe this is a 4 star. Grubby and dated. Not at all impressed and wouldn't stay again. The photos say it all. Carpet was dirty and stained. Towel rail fell of the wall when I went to rake a towel off. Bathroom moudly round the bath and on the tiles and floor. Kettle was filthy.

This is our second time visiting mecure hull lovely atmosphere as hosting a Christmas party , lovely decorations for Christmas , pool and hot tub was brilliant , a much needed break away , breakfast was out of this world was the highlight of our stay plenty to choose from all lovely and hot will be back soon , service was exceptional

We got told on arrival we had been given an upgraded room. This was definitely bigger but lacked character and charm of the room we'd originally booked...I dont even think it had originally been a hotel room! It had polystyrene ceiling tiles and looked old, shabby, especially the carpet and bathroom, which didn't even have an extractor fan..This wasn't a great room! The poor chef doing the breakfast the next morning seemed stressed and run off her feet. A 3rd of the breakfast options on the cooked side just wasn't available and we had to wait until brought out of the back. The thing that I found the most unprofessional and not great was at check out, we were asked if everything was okay with our stay... We replied that it wasn't the best... He said I'm sorry about that but failed to ask us why? He didn't seem in the slightest interested! That was the final straw! So in all not a great experience when you consider how much it cost! Very disappointing to say the least.

Great hotel for dog owners. The staff are very friendly and welcoming to humans too! It’s due a refurbishment but it’s worth staying for the easy going environment

Dinner in the restaurant was very poor. Gristly pork belly bites, very limp salad, anaemic and soggy chipolata sausages. Ordered tap water for our table of 3, was brought 1 glass. Ordered mint tea for two, was brought black tea.
