The party was great but the room we booked for the night was dirty and tatty. The staff were supportive when this was brought to their attention.

Staff were excellent and tried hard Bathroom was a little dated and mould has been sealed into the bath surrounds which is a little naff

I want to thank your staff for being friendly and courteous I was particularly touched when I asked if the eggs were prepared separately to the meat and the lovely lady offered me a vegetarian alternative. My room was immaculate and clean, no Smells or dust anywhere however there was a crack in the WHB.

Hotel room itself was clean. A little dated but not in a bad way to be honest, bed was very comfy. Hotel staff were very friendly, especially reception and bar. Breakfast was average, I wouldn’t of been extremely happy paying £15 for it, but it was nice enough with plenty to choose from. Spa facilities were good, enjoyed the steam room, sauna and jacuzzi, which were all decent (just beware over a weekend as kids swimming lessons were going on in the pool when I went down to use it).

Met our needs with a bonus for the dog

This time room was fine on previous visit on 9th October room we stayed in the carpet was badly soiled and considering the money paid out was not satisfactory. On all our visits have found the staff pleasant and helpful. Breakfasts have been good. As I don't have a cooked breakfast found plenty of good quality fruit available.

The staff service we experienced was very good. Particularly Ryan in the bar area, who was friendly and welcoming. Our room experience was however very disappointing. The room was extremely tired and painted shoddily in a unrelaxing blue colour. The bathroom has definitely seen better days. The sink was cracked and mildew growing between the tiles. The exterior of the Original Georgian house is in need of repair. Having held our wedding here 32 years ago we looked forward to staying again on a family trip but came away feeling very underwhelmed.

Reduced choice at breakfast disappointing. No longer subscribing to sky tv so no football availed to watch in the bar.

Not worth the money. No main socket around the bed.

We booked for one stay. The room was clean and tidy. That is positive point. We was in top of the range room. The bed is too hard and could not get a good night sleep. We never got our free newspaper as advertised. The slippers which were in the room are uncomfortable and do not fit average gentleman foot. Could not charge from the bed as there is no main socket around the bed. Which is big let down. The room needs freshing up as it is tired and a lot handprint on the walls. Breakfast was just average and nothing special. Staff was slow to restock breakfast bar and their was limited choice. Coffee/tea machine was not easy to use. In the passage between room and breakfast/Restaurant their is alot of crack or broken windows/doors at least 5 of them. We paid £120 for the room. I have been to other hotel which cost less and have more value for money. It was bad lightning in the corridor and in the room even in the daylight.

Enjoyed breakfast choices/quality and free use of pool. Good location for meeting friends/watching football in Middlebrook. Comfy bed, shower fine. Room needed spruce up of paint but was clean.

Tired and disappointing

Our room was in a poor state and in desperate need of refurbishment. The sink was cracked, the extractor fan didn’t work, the shower pressure was non existent, the angled roof meant you couldn’t fully block the window, and it was annoying for tall people who would need to duck. The plug sockets were in annoying places, there was mould behind the Bath taps, the skirting boards were all just generally dirty, and the knob on the end of the curtain pole wasn’t attached properly. The whole room was just tired. The lift to the room was old and rickety and felt like it would fail at anytime. We were at the hotel to attend a corporate event. The event room was far too hot, and the drinks were completely over priced. The food was generally ok but dishes were late being served compared to people you were sat with, and then finally turned up cold. The brownie dessert was dry and burnt, and the pizza served as the evening snack was probably the cheapest and worst tasting pizza I’ve ever eaten. The bed was comfortable though, and plenty of pillows and cushions were provided.

Staff are friendly and efficient but rooms let the hotel down. Net curtain had stains on it, better to not have one at all. Switch for the shower was dirty and black mold on the grout in the shower. Rooms are generally very tired with chipped paint work and stained carpets. Price of drinks for a 3 star hotel were extortionate.

Not as good as we anticipated. Room OK but bathroom needs upgrade and ventilation was not working no bisects with drinks Food looked far too expensive and not best reviews, so we ate out and then had a drink in the bar at the hotel - again very expensive and no atmosphere, so will not be staying there again - not best value. Pool lockers not working, as I am partially sighted, needed assistance to lock - but the member of staff could not lock it either!....found may were not working and sauna was poor, jacuzzi was far too powerful and not good experience for my wife who found it over powering...sorry to say we wished we had chosen a better hotel but will avoid this one in future.

The staff are good.the facilities in the pool changing rooms were filthy. There is several years of grime in each shower cubicle. There are no seats in the grounds at all ( unbelievable). We have stayed several times but this one was the last.
