All good apart from running ot of vegan sausages. Bit of a poor show that.

Was here with work years ago and it was awful. The staff said it was going through a big makeover. So given its location I thought why not, give it a go now. Good God. No room keys, so you have to sit in reception and just wait for someone to come and take you upstairs. And this is a big hotel, so we are talking around 14 floors. No internet at all. "we are undergoing some work" - How does that mean you have no internet? And just as an aside, the entire air con unit was happily in pieces on the floor. The staff response was 'I think it still works'. In their defence the staff seem heinously thrown into the fire here. Nothing works and I don't think they have much in the way of support. But Manchester has some nice hotels - Do not come here. Ever.

The hotel is old, the sound proofing between rooms is not good - I had to change rooms during my stay as i could hear everything said in the next room

Room was cold. Heating was blowing out cold air and the only way to warm up the room slightly was to turn off the heating. The heating controller may have been broken? Also, no room upgrade was offered and platinum status not acknowledged.

I am very sorry to hear that your room temperature and heating controls did not function correctly during your stay. A cold room is clearly unacceptable, particularly when travelling for business, and I apologise that this was not resolved to your satisfaction. Your comments regarding the Wi-Fi instability and the lack of recognition of your Platinum status, including the absence of an upgrade, are also noted and regretted. We fully recognise that parts of the building and its systems are no longer meeting the standards our guests expect. I would like to reassure you that we have now commenced a full refurbishment of the property, which will address heating, connectivity, and overall room quality, as well as reinforce our loyalty recognition standards.
