We stay at the hotel frequently, Hotel is great parking is very expensive especially if you stay a few days may need to look elsewhere in the city in future.

Wonderful stay from the moment we entered! dropped off our bag early and went off shopping! Came back picked up bag and went off to room! we'd been upgraded to a corner room with a lovely view towards the Town Hall! Room was spacious clean and tidy! Didn't have dinner there but came back and had a few drinks in the bar! Lovely comfy nights sleep! Breakfast was lovely restaurant was quite full but we got a table by the window looking out over Picadilly Gardens! Check out was smooth! all in all a wonderful stay!!

On arrival there was no WiFi in the room, a mini fridge was on the floor restricting free movement, the kettle etc was on a shelf with no plug socket. We then found the Air Conditioning wasn’t working which the maintenance team tried too fix to no avail, they offered to change our room by as all our luggage etc was unpacked we said we would make do. We the food the bathroom extraction wasn’t working and the shower head was spraying water over the bathroom, this was reported but no one came to rectify this over our stay, there was also tiles loose around the bath and the final issue was that of having one towel over our stay, all in all totally unacceptable in a 4 star hotel. Other areas of the hotel and staff were fine however, that in no way made up for the experience of room 623, we’ve stayed in your hotels in Liverpool and Nottingham and both were extremely better than the Manchester Piccadilly Mercure.

While we are pleased to hear that other areas of the hotel and some of our staff met your expectations, we understand that this did not make up for the significant issues in your room. Great location and quiet stay, but the room needs attention. The hotel is in an excellent spot and it was surprisingly quiet at night, which I appreciated. However, the room felt shabby and rundown for the price. The pillows were lumpy (even the replacement wasn’t much better), the sheets were paper-thin, and the shower leaked. There were visible cracks and overall it felt tired and not well maintained. Even the windows didn’t close properly. If this had been my first Mercure experience, I don’t think I’d be keen to book another.

Booked with my daughter to get into the festive spirit and see enjoy the German market and see a show . On checking in noticed oil heater and a very cold room . We put on heating only for it to blow out cold air . We contacted reception who send someone straight away he said hotel was fully booked and been told by maintenance there was problem but offered extra heater . We had no choice as it was 5 pm to late to find another hotel for the evening etc . We left without having a shower due to the ❄️condition in the bathroom. I asked to speak to a manager who was very apologetic and offered refund in form of points to book another stay in any their hotel . I’ve noticed from another review the must have been a where of the problem before hand so it your staying on the 9 th floor check before you accept your room
