The hotel is very well located, but attention to detail leaves much to be desired. The internet connection in the room is practically non-existent; it only worked after much insistence when they installed a repeater in the room, which proves that there are units with connection issues and that the hotel is aware of it (since they have repeaters to solve the problem). The daily coffee replenishment was also not done, and the outlets and switches are old and malfunctioning.

The Sofitel Montevideo is a most beautiful hotel, with excellent staff and good management. We loved our stay in the lovely village of Carrasco, with a long beach and excellent restaurants. The Sofitel is the place to stay in Montevideo.
