I only initially intended to stay for a single day as a temporary stop before getting out of Danang to Nha Trang, however when an unexpected flight cancellation happened during my supposedly last day, I found myself selecting Grand Mercure Danang again. The views from the River View rooms are great which can be seen from the website. Although the property is on the older side compare to other properties like Novotel, Grand Mercure Danang offers everything a Premium hotel needs to offer with one of the best location in Danang - Nestled within the heart of Green Issland by the river. Amongst the Accor brands I’ve stayed in Danang, the staffs from Grand Mercure Danang left the most lasting impression on me. Two particular point that stood out to me were the Lounge, filled with friendly and enthusiastic staffs like Ngan, Quynh, N. and Phuoc who goes above and beyond in ensuring guests needs are well addressed; and the second is Huy from Concierge who spent almost 30 minutes assisting me to reschedule my cancelled flight (even though I have not decided whether to check in on that day) Nonetheless, if I’m ever back in Danang, id likely pick this hotel again to enjoy the hospitality that I’ve encountered during this trip.

My stay at Grand Mercure Danang was truly one of the highlights of my time in Danang. Perfectly located in the heart of the city, the hotel offers a wonderful combination of comfort, elegance, convenience, and genuine Vietnamese hospitality. From arrival to departure, I felt warmly welcomed and genuinely cared for. What made the experience even more complete was everything the hotel had to offer. I thoroughly enjoyed Golden Dragon Restaurant - delicious food, beautiful presentation, a relaxing atmosphere, and attentive service made every visit enjoyable. Lounge was another highlight of my stay. It is a wonderful place to unwind, enjoy the atmosphere, and experience the Green island from above, especially after a full day exploring the city. But the true heart of Grand Mercure Danang is its people. A very special thank you to Felix and his wonderful colleagues for their exceptional hospitality. Felix’s warmth, kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care stood out throughout my stay. His hospitality felt sincere and came naturally from the heart. The entire team was friendly, professional, and always willing to help, making me feel truly welcomed rather than simply accommodated. What I will remember most about Grand Mercure Danang is the complete experience - the comfortable hotel, excellent location, wonderful dining at Golden Dragon Restaurant, relaxing moments at the Lounge, and above all, the people who made everything feel special. Some hotels are simply where you stay during a journey. Grand Mercure Danang became part of my Danang journey itself. We had a very pleasant stay at the Grand Mercure Danang. The location is excellent and allows for easy walking access to the beach, the Dragon Bridge, the night market, several restaurants, convenience stores, as well as laundry services. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with beautiful decor, good amenities, and a very pretty view. The pool is a real plus, with a magnificent view. The breakfast is varied, well presented in a buffet format. It could nevertheless be further improved with more vegetarian and halal options. The staff is very attentive, available, and always ready to help, from our arrival until our departure, special shout out to our guy Felix - who assisted us with restaurant reservations and spa bookings. We also appreciated the free shuttle service offered by the hotel. Overall, a very good experience and a hotel that we recommend for a stay in Da Nang.

Overall, it was a very nice stay after a day of only 2 bottles of water supply they asked me to pay extra but upon speaking to the receptionist about it, he had given me more water without paying extra. So everything went well.

The room was very spacious, clean, and offered a beautiful view of the Han River. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. A nice touch was the reading lamp conveniently located on both bedsides. The bathroom was spacious, with a large area that could comfortably fit two toiletries bags. Water pressure was strong, and the hot water supply was consistent throughout. It would also be even better if the room curtains were computerized for added convenience. Breakfast had a great variety of options and was delicious. The staff were warm, friendly, and spoke good English, especially Huy from Reception, making the overall stay even more pleasant. Overall, if you are not specifically looking for a beachfront hotel, Grand Mercure Danang is an excellent choice in Da Nang and highly recommended for its comfort, facilities, stunning river views, and great service.
