the reception and room was fine the challenge however is the breakfast. it took 30 min for a simple order and my colleague even left without breakfast after having had to wait for 20 min. the suggestion is to have the breakfast buffet of those items everybody uses, fruits/ yoghurt/ bread/ noddle soup. the rest via separate order since that would make the service faster.

We spent 5 nights in a luxury two room suite with the Mecure DaNang last week, our second visit there. Let me be unequivocal, the Vietnamese tourism industry is suffering due to Covid-19 and so while we were mildly concerned, all worries were allayed when we were greeted with welcoming professionalism by the wonderfully friendly staff. GM Guy Poujoulat personally welcomed us, and was apologetic about the need for changes to certain club and hotel services due to unavoidable (Covid19 related) problems. Taken wholly within context all changes were reasonable and good alternatives were provided to allow guests to enjoy an enjoyable stay. We were delighted with our spacious and luxurious suite and all it’s many amenities. The stunning views of the Han River were just outstanding. Twice a day housekeeping was very good. We loved the luxury linens and pillow menu. Our suite more than met expectations and indeed, as our second visit to Mecure DaNang, the hotels rooms and amenities were a major decision in our choosing to stay again. The hotel location suited us perfectly, and we utilised the shuttle bus provided free of charge at regular intervals for guests to visit the beach and the Han Market. However our most heartfelt thanks and highest praise must be saved for the outstanding club room staff led by the delightful Ms Lan and her team. Wow! We were Welcomed back like family (my husband had stayed here with my father about 12 months earlier) and it was just amazing to be personally remembered and from the outset treated like family. Of course the professionalism was outstanding, as would be expected from a 5 star hotel and particularly club room facilities, but the personal touches and kindnesses we received from Lan and here able team of lovely staff was beyond measure. We’ve never, in all our many trips abroad, felt so welcome and truly cared for. Thank you so much Lan, when we return to DaNang we would only stay at the Mecure and this has much to do with you! Truth be said, all staff made huge efforts to interact with us and make us welcome. Food and beverage services overall were very good, bordering on excellent. It is always great to return to the Grand Mercure Da Nang, this property remains my first pick when visiting Da Nang for business. In the current climate of Covid-19 it was quite sad to see both the city and property badly impacted through no fault of their own. Despite this and with the need to downscale some aspects of the business it was great to see that service and quality levels were maintained. Even from behind the masks you could see the staff still smiling and delivered all of their functions in the normal friendly and efficient manner.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, clean and had a lovely view. The staff at the front desk and the restaurant were all really helpful, so polite and fluent in english. On our last day, we had a late flight in the evening out of Da nang, and since checkout was at noon, the front desk actually advised to keep our lugguage in store so we have time to have dinner outside. Really appriciate We booked transfers from airport and to airport with the hotel and all was great.

Very nice room, nice hotel and friendly staffs. I love the location of this hotel, quiet island located on the Han river. You can take a walk along the river in the early morning with the fresh air. One more thing i love this hotel is free shutle bus to the city center. Very usefull and on schedule

G. location for us. The staff and the room were fine. Only problem was breakfast. The variety was good (loved the coffee bar with caramel shots, etc.), but the bacon was terrible, there was no good toast and no SALTED butter. Also, why don't you have a Vietnamese restaurant for dinner? I HATE Chinese; you can get that anywhere. We had to go across the street to Nom for Vietnamese food.

OMG. What an experience from start to finish. Returned to this hotel after 18mths away for a short break. We were not disappointed. Excellent service and treatment by the staff. Due to the current "virus" situation affecting the whole tourist industry, this Hotel was adapting with several small changes. Private Lounge has been moved from 21st Floor to be incorporated into ground floor Restaurant. This seems to be working as you still have great service and food from wonderful staff. Miss Lan has looked after us for over 5 years. Her attention to detail and memory of your likes is amazing. The view up the river from our room was just beautiful. Management staff were always checking to see if they could improve anything. Mr Guy greeted us on our arrival and often found us to have a chat, which we appreciated. Our only disappointment during our stay was we were unable to make a booking for a massage. We were told they were fully booked on the several days that we were free during our stay.
