I like the Ibis Hotel very much , room was large enough for two people great Swimming pool food was tasty service great and polite. I also can highly recommend to get a Massage on site it was excellent very professional, I had an Oil Massage.

Taxi from Suvarnabhumi cost 800 THB and took 90 minutes in very heavy traffic. Standard Ibis pod like bedroom and small bathroom but appears to have had a refresh since my last visit. Sound proofing in the bedroom not great. Hotel was busy and you could hear people coming and going at all hours, doors opening and closing, people talking and the tv in other rooms. Very little storage in the room. The restaurant menu is very good but breakfast is very samey after a few days. Breakfast time can get very noisy inside and you do have the option to sit outside overlooking the river which is very pleasant. There is always lots to see on the river, day or night. The best features here are the outside space, the gardens and pool area, the location being right on the river and being able to walk to Iconsiam in about 10/ 15 minutes. You can also walk 5/ 10 minutes to get a local ferry across the river for 5 THB which takes you to Sathorn Pier to connect with other boats and the BTS at Saphan Taksin.

Location - outstanding Reception staff - polite and accommodating Restaurant staff - absolutely appalling. They don’t pay attention to the customers and are so eager when coming to collect payments. They are never around when you want to order a drink and there was an incident in my previous stay where the food came one and a half hours late and it was simply a PHAD THAI. When further investigated staff changed shift and the information got lost. WHAT DO YOU MEAN? how is that the customers problem? Beds - comfortable Rooms - in need of serious ventilation Sound proof - absolutely none. Prices - for the value offered prices during off peak season are as far as it should go. Raising prices during high season to be extortionate when there is no change in the value of services delivered is absolutely unfair. Membership - it is a must to stay minimum 3 nights for booking city view - so what privilege do members get? NONE ? 10% discount while the prices during peak season are extortionate ?
