I have often stayed at Hotel Presidence and been satisfied. I now find that the service has fallen. Paper cups are cheap. Sand coloured rough toilet paper is cheap. Having too few staff is cheap. But the room rates are not cheap!

Falling standards

Cheapening service has caused a fall in standards at this once good hotel. For example bedroom cups and saucers have been replaced with paper thin cardboard cups without handles. They look cheap. They are difficult to hold when containg hot tea/coffee. Also, often there is only one person handling the cocktail bar and receptions. Slow service results, but it saves Accor money and is cheap. And, the rough, sand coloured paper looks cheap and feels cheap. The breakfast room move to the old Panoramic fouth floor provides great views but the food quality and selection and lack of service at 16Euros was poor value.

It's impossible to get a good cup of tea in France. The tea bags provided are tasteless. The 'coffee milk' in totally unacceptable in tea - it tastes disgusting. I brought my own tea bags and fresh milk with me. Sadly housekeeping removed my tea bags and there was no fridge for my milk. All good hotel stays are dependent on being able to get a decent cup of tea. After all these years it is still impossible. The bathroom was rediculous.

A bit of at problem on arrival with Accor Booking system was overcome by helpful desk staff. Room, view , and breakfast exceeded expectation and our car was happy in the underground parking. We will return.las Sadly our last stay in France as EU citizens

Good value overall, nice room, entrance tired, staff welcome perfunctory. Your staff member told us on arrival (I speak French well) that breakfast was NOT included in the price we had paid. I see from the bill that it WAS paid for, for four people. You owe me 60 Euros!!!

Our stay at this hotel was for one night only. We arrived late afternoon by car after a long 4 hour ferry crossing. We paid 7 euros for hotel car parking. On arrival reception staff were very friendly, curteous and our room was ready. The modern decor room had an unfamiliar layout with lobby, containing modern standalone a sink unit, glass cabinet wardrobe and separate shower cubical and toilet room. Although an unusual layout there is a dividing sliding door to main bedroom. We had a room service meal which came very promptly. Note: The only UK tv channel is BBC news - however i do suspect you would be enjoying your days and nights out. It is a very easy short walk to the main town centre, acquarium and chateau museum. We had a sea view room which was pleasant, as you are facing the sea you are also facing the main road, however we were not disturbed by the passing traffic and slept very well. Overall a very pleasant stay, we plan to book again, next time for a longer stay.

Love the hotel, the bedrooms are very comfortable, attractive and spacious. Good friendly staff.......the only small negative but still important in my view is the paper cups, plastic cups and poor quality toilet paper and NO black tea bags in the rooms! Otherwise had a great stay

The room was very comfortable and the staff were very helpful. The small problem with our shower was rectified very quickly. Breakfast buffet had a good selection of food which was kept topped up all of the time so nothing ran out.

We paid € 150 for 1 night --> Too much money for this kind of service. Seaview was very poor with the old dirty windows. The room en the hotel are very outdated and also not very clean. The breakfast was very poor. If we had paid less money, then I could understand this, but not for this kind of money. The staff was very friendly and nice, thats the only positive feedback.

Good, except for the booking process and the design of the room

The booking process does not make it possible to book a room specifically for a handicapped person, but requires us to contact the hotel after the booking is made. In this case, this required an upgrade, as there were no handicapped rooms available at the price booked. The design of the room was faulty: no hand washing zvailable in the separate WC, requiring the ustomer to travel more than 10 metres to wash her hands, probably leaving a microbial trail all the way.
