We had booked 2 rooms - ours had defective air conditioning, so that we had to leave the windows open and we were kept awake all night due to bin lorries, cars and general traffic noise. When we came to register, we had an argument with the receptionist over whether we had paid in advance. Luckily, we had a voucher showing that we had, BUT she didn’t know anything about vouchers and we were only rescued by another girl who explained it to her. NOT a great start to our stay, spoilt further by the lack of air-con.

The hotel is a little dated and could do with refurbishing. My wife and I arrived at the hotel at approx 19.15 pm after a long drive from the Dordogne, encountering terrible weather around Rouen on the way. Because the weather in Dieppe was bad we decided we would eat in the hotel restaurant, however, we were told that the restaurant was fully booked for both the nights that we were staying. This is unacceptable, we have never had any problems eating in Novotel restaurants whatever time of the day we arrive. Because it was raining so badly we decided to have room service, which is not my favourite way to eat when you are on holiday, but the food was good and tasty.
