Hotel is comfortable and well located. the room 233 was very good for staying withbthe family. Unfortunately a short circuit cut the power and force us to change room in the middle of the night. The second room we moved to, 133 was also good but the toilet was smelling wee like a pubkic toilet - and that is not acceptable.

There were a few issues. The rooms were not ready and no power but Aurelia on front desk was exceptional at getting everything sorted. That woman deserves a pay rise she single handly was sorting out everything when lots of guests were coming to her with problems! Our family room was so clean and the beds were amazing, would return in a heartbeat. Breakfast was fab.

Everything was perfect! Bedding is good, breakfast perfect. Staff warm and welcoming. Beautiful property well kept with good bedding. I appreciated the attention of the staff on my birthday and the flowers. I cannot recall the name of the lady who gave me my flowers on the last day but thanks to her. As well as the other great people I spoke to over my stay, Kylian, Romain, Aurélia (réception) Olivier (réservation), Pape (restaurant). Also the ladies cleaning on 2,and 3rd floors, and the breakfast ladies attendees throughout my stay and the chef I spoke too the day before my checkout and who arranged for a breakfast pack for my mom, and I saw him again on my last day but forgot to take his name. Overall great staff and to be honest I travel a lot within France and it is rare to meet people so welcoming. The management should be pleased with the staff. Great team overall. The cleaners are already so polite and greet us each time they see us. Another thing I love the smell within the property not sure what you use but whatever you use smells really nice. When taking the stairs or walking around corridors the smell is amazing. Thank you for treating myself and mom so well. Wishing you all best of success always!

Had to move room as first room was so dirty- in particular the shower was chipped and moldy! Second room still had some cleaning issues but alot better so had to compromise as town was entirely fully booked (we did try to move hotel). Gym was awful! No towels, cleaning supplies for equipment, no working tv or music, no weights- just two/ three very old squeaky cardio machines. Bathroom by reception/gym filthy- wall said it hadn’t been cleaned for a week! Hotel needs to review their hygiene standards! When I pointed this out to the receptionist he said he couldn’t do anything because his manager wasn’t working! Additionally the hotel itself has nothing for kids- even the swimming pool shown in a lot of pictures opposite the hotel is abandoned and completely run down. We were seriously disappointed especially for the money we’d paid (c. 300€ per night). Only plus side was breakfast- great food and views (even though of course the windows were dirty!). Overall a dated dirty hotel which is overpriced and not living up to the brand‘s standards.

Mercure is in an excellent location, close to the beach and only a short walk to the harbour and restaurants. Our top floor room was well designed and had everything we needed. The staff were very pleasant and breakfast was good.

We booked a premium “suite” here for over 300 euros for the night when our ferry was cancelled last minute. Although parking is noted as available it is an additional 14 euros charge and requires a code to get in that I had to call the hotel for when we arrived to the parking ramp as it was not clear from booking (direct on website) greeting from concierge/reception was very pleasant and helpful. Directed to our sea view room (view across the main beach parking lot and a derelict public swimming pool with windows covered in seagull droppings which was disappointing. The “suite” was just a large room with space for the sofa bed, I was expecting a separated space- there is a coffee table and 3 chairs but no dedicated working area, desk, dressing or dining table. Toilet space was tired and toilet was old with significant limescale. Bathroom was well equipped and clean but scorch marks of some sort on the lower shelf below the sink. Towels were small. Sofa bed was taken out on arrival and functional enough. Bed was large, comfortable and clean sheets. Coffee machine and refrigerator in room with some complementary soft drinks and a little jar of apple caramel. Breakfast was pleasant and varied. Overall not worth the 300 euro tag imo, needs a refresh.

3 nights as base for visit to dieppe. Beautifully situated on sea front. Room windows should be cleaned more often though as seagull poo is a significant problem. Staff wonderful.

Everything worked ! The room was good, the sea view excellent, the staff were very helpful . I would definitely stay again . It is worth noting that external parking was very tight . We used the Mercure car park which was a necessity . It costs about 14 euros a night
