We have stayed here several times. The hotel is well located (although was not easy to find the first time) for ferry access and a visit to Auchun before we leave. It seems to be quiet on a Sunday night. The breakfast area has been refurbished and is very clean and comfortable, though it was ok before. The rooms are on the small side but the be is very comfortable; en suite showers are good. Breakfast was fine but I felt the hotel was not as good value as the Ibis Budget we stayed at a fortnight ago. There is an Au Bureau for food and a burger outlet within easy walking distance but we chose to eat in town.

It was fine except for the bed which slid onto side shelf at head of bed. Breakfast very good except for lack of bananas. The complimentary paper food bag was a generous idea.

The hotel rooms are very basic. They look very much like the old formula one hotel bunker rooms but with a very basic tart up. For the money the rooms are disappointing; compared to all the other hotels we stayed in for 2 weeks prior. Breakfast was comprehensive and since we were waiting on a ferry being able to not check out till noon was handy and going back to the breakfast area for more coffee mid morning appreciated.

Staff friendly, room clean, good bed, but expensive, not good value for money. Bad ventilation system = smelly bathroom. And the building/room itself? Brutalist nightmare!

We arrived very late from the ferry. Receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. Room clean and comfortable. We have stayed there before and it is always great to get a good night's rest after the ferry!!
