Our hotel is 20 minutes by bus from Newport station, the city's main rail hub. There's a bus stop five minutes' walk from the hotel, then it's just six minutes to the city. We're two minutes from the M4 and 35 minutes by car from Cardiff Airport.

Easy to find the hotel (signage towards car park could be much clearer!). Immediate welcome and efficient. Room small but all we needed for one night. Breakfast limited but got us going (pity the coffee machine was broken). Easy checkout. All staff we met were friendly and cheerful (not easy when working on Christmas Day).
