Main issue is poor network internet in rooms. I needed to go to the lobby to continue working.

Practical/friendly 100 room hotel joined to Novotel’s pool and restaurant.

My wife and I stayed 5 nights, arriving before 11PM by Yellow Taxi(E40) from DDS Airport. The online check in desk was quick with a pleasant English speaking receptionist taking a credit card deposit to include room and potential charges at the bar/restaurant. We took our bags up the one working elevator to Room #510, all typical Ibis except a bit larger in the bathroom, shower stall and the bedroom(comfortable queen). The TV had a guide with BBC & France 2 in English and included Canal+Sports. Nice closet area with free water added each day, good central AC and numerous outlets. A large insulated window could be opened on request and had a wonderful seaview to Goree Island. The rooms were serviced daily. The 6:30AM breakfast was a downsized version of neighbor Novotel serviced by an attentive staff with an assortment of coffees, juice, breads, cheese/meats, scrambled and hard boiled eggs, yogurt, coco puffs/corn flakes & many fresh fruits. The common area included a large pool that was a joy to use(except on Sunday when an outside group of 50 kids overwhelmed) and the restaurant patio with pleasant music(except on Friday when exceeded normal sound limits until midnight). Taxis were always waiting outside the Novotel/ibis complex. The large Casino supermarket and the classic Marche Kermel are about 350m up the street.

The carpet in the room is dirty and very sticky, I had to wear my shoes in the room. The window couldn’t get open, so the room was very humid. There was 2 peoples in hotel one in the reception and one in the lunch area which were rude and not friendly. I had my taco driver who joined me to talk about our trip and I have give him a glas of milk, for that I had to pay 5000cfa as he took a breakfast. The guy in the lunch area made us very uncomfortable in front of him when push us to pay for him the breakfast. I have never experience such a bad service in all my stays in Accor hotel.

Good service and Friendly Staff but the hotel needs some major upgrade

Generally everything was good in terms of checkin, breakfast, staff attitude, Laundry service. However, the level of refurbishment is very poor, there is an underlying damp smell in the hotel and I sense the airconditioning systems need upgrade. The cleanliness of the room was much to be desired and I think aside from upgrading the rooms (new carpets, air conditioning, furniture) the rooms could do with a deep clean to get rid of the mould on the bath furniture etc..
