The hotel was well located in downtown Dakar and the pool area was nice. However, the hotel had very few amenities, the restaurant was horrible-- the 'roasted' potatoes were raw on the inside and it was incredibly expensive considering it was the worst meal I had in my 3 weeks in Senegal. I felt very uncomfortable in this hotel as a female business traveler on my own. At the restaurant a man who was staying in the hotel wanted to sit at my table with me and when I said no, he got angry and the hotel staff asked me to accommodate him and let him sit with me. I also had an uncomfortable incident with a male guest of the hotel at the pool and this also was completely ignored.

The stay was comfortable but the level of English and service was not as good as I had thought it would have been. Shout out to Ana Ba though who was always ready to provide service with a smile and was personable. The reception staff could use a lot more training.
