So much improve with Pullman Dakar! From the first time I was there to 1 year later, there is tremendous improvement with service, restaurant, housekeeping etc etc .. However, there are a few things to take note of , front desk does not answer the phone at times, staff is not fulfilling what was requested by guest. On 5th November, I checked in at 9pm. One of the bellboy, can’t remember his name, helped me with my luggage to my room. After helping me, I asked for 4 bottles water because the requested water was not given to me which I’ve requested over email. After which I gave him a XOF 2000 tips, thinking he helped me with my luggage and he could help me to get more water which he promised! Guess what? He disappeared into thin air! I tried calling the front desk 5 times, no one answered the phone. Finally when someone answered, he promised to get the same boybell to bring it up. Well, surprised surprise! No water after waiting for 2 hours! Sometimes I’ve given up hope to ask for anything with this hotel. Yes you’ve improved a lot, but there are still room for improvement. - cleanliness of the room (floor is still black and brown when cleaned) - no one is answering the phone at the front desk - insects in the room - for platinum member please do not give me the corner room at 620 or anything near the corner which is closer to the main road. I would prepare closer to the ocean. There were so much noise from downstairs and the bin truck! - crickets outside the room too! First time! Having said that, internet is very stable and fast now. I would like to compliment the housekeeping supervisor Fatou, for always remembering me when I check in. She is the only one who brought me more water! She told me the weather is really hot, you should drink more water which I needed it! Thank you Fatou! You’re the best!

We had a decent stay at the Pullman. They do need to invest in upkeep and maintenance of the facility though. The general condition of the hotel, rooms and amenities does not meet the expectation level of an All Accor facility. Gym equipment was broken and disrepair so we could not keep up our usual training schedule. Dining area chairs are stained and musty. Same for the loungers around the pool area. Breakfast was okay but many of the pastries were not fresh. Thankfully the staff were wonderful and that made the stay at least somewhat comfortable. I have a specific shout-out to Ndeye Fatou. We had her as a waitress on several occasions in the dining room and she was fantastic! Very caring, genuine and good at her job. Thank you!

Lovely hotel with lovely staff. Wide menu (but for room service, double-check that the menus match up to ensure the dishes are available!) The beach club was super relaxing and the breakfast buffet was really good. Front desk give good recommendations for the local area Only cons for us - slight delay in housekeeping requests and the live music events were a bit short. We will be back. Special shout out to Ann, Fode and Alex on the front desk for being very helpful and kind!

Great Stay, but Disappointing Changes to Gym and Restaurant Experience

I have always enjoyed my stays at the Pullman Hotel, and this visit was no exception in terms of comfort and service. The staff are consistently attentive and quick to respond, which I greatly appreciate. I’d especially like to thank Gerti, Bintou, Jean, and the rest However, I was quite disappointed with the decision to move the gym to its new location. The room faces the street, and the large windows make it feel like you are exercising in a shop window, visible to passersby. This is especially uncomfortable for clients, particularly women. It’s a humiliating setup, and I believe the gym should be returned to its previous location as soon as possible. On top of that, there are no mirrors, and the TV is positioned in a way that makes it impossible to watch while working out. Another issue I encountered was with the restaurant. The air conditioning often doesn’t work properly, making the atmosphere uncomfortably hot at times. Overall, while I enjoyed my stay as usual, these aspects detracted from the experience and I hope the management will address them very soon.
