The staff is wonderful and kind. The services are mediocre. The food is uninspiring. The full board should include all drinks. The facilities...rooms, pool, children's area are dated and need upgrading. Again, the Movenpick is nice enough, but NOT worth the 5 star prices.

Experience recurrently issues with my card not opening my door. Adding to that I’ve been singled out on the daily basis by the restaurant service which frequently asked my room number. An approach they didn’t apply to white tourist. Which is disrespectful and clearly discriminatory!

In this context, asking for your name or room number upon entering the restaurant is part of our standard procedure. The staff were great. What wasn’t : music at diner time was way too loud and amplified out of sync throughout the area - the area was lit from a bizarre angle blinding people at the table - the beach restaurant was the same (you pay extra and especially here you expect to hear the waves and have some intimate light) We stayed in one of the floating rooms with ocean view … you had to climb on the roof to see a bit of ocean … the rooms float in a sealed off pond that you cannot swim in because the water quality is insufficient. Finally the space between the wall and the bed + location of airco make it so that entering and leaving the bed is hazardous for one of the guests … finally the place needs and overhaul if it wants to correspond to what Movenpick stands for. Notwithstanding the above we did have a good time.

Our family of 4 spent 3 nights in a standard and chambre flotante (house boat). My husband and I loved the houseboat. It was very cool and we loved the roof terrace, but it would have been a squeeze for more than a few nights whereas the standard rooms are more spacious. The pool and beach were ideal. We stayed half board and the buffets at breakfast and dinner were varied and delicious. Some of the hotel needs updating but it is well maintained. We all like to exercise so webmade good use of the gym and running outside the hotel. I'd highly recommend staying here
