I stayed for 8 nights at Novotel Suites in Málaga, and unfortunately, I wasn't completely satisfied with my experience. The curtain in my room was stained with blood, which was quite disturbing, and I also had issues with ants in the bathroom. These problems definitely need to be addressed to improve the quality of the stay. However, I want to especially mention two receptionists, Mariana and Roxana from Romania, who were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. Their professionalism and friendliness made the situation more bearable and partially made up for the issues I faced. With some improvements, the overall experience could be much better.

This novohotel shares the same building with an ibis budget, and offers worse services than the most basic hotel in the Accor chain. Employees do not receive the most basic and elementary training. I will explain. Look at this situation: I was leaving the hotel garage, late to go to the airport to catch an international flight, and there was an employee standing in her car next to the gate, which wouldn't open. After waiting a few minutes and honking the horn, I went to her and politely asked her to reverse so I could get out. She said she couldn't because there was a car parked behind her. I went to talk to him so he could back up, so she could clear the way, and he said it would be sorted out. Only then did I notice that they were both Novo Hotel employees, and were wearing their work uniform, each one, the man and the woman, in their own car. I waited a little longer and when the situation was not resolved, I asked both employees to back up to clear the exit, to which the guy in the car behind said that the situation would be resolved. As another 5 minutes passed and my family was already nervous and worried, I spoke to Ambis again and demanded that they clear the way out, as there was a problem with the woman's access card, which the man - hotel employee -he said he didn't like my tone of voice and that he wouldn't leave. I told him that I would go up to complain to the management and he replied that I could complain to the Pope and he would not leave. look: employees at the hotel, inside the hotel building (parking lot) disrupting the lives of guests who just want to get to the airport. In fact, 15 minutes had already passed! I then tried to leave through the garage entrance door, but I couldn't access the gate from the inside. My wife went to complain to management, but there was no manager. just a reception employee who went down to the garage and stood still, without action. Then, fortunately, someone from the garage appeared and opened the door for her and him, who left in their cars, hurriedly, without addressing the colleague who had come down to remedy the problem. Everything could have been resolved if they had had the good sense to not have obstructed the passage of an entire garage, with more than 4 floors, when the exit was denied. I've never seen anything like this, in the hundreds of hotels I've stayed in in my life, from the most diverse categories and cultural backgrounds. Novohotel Malaga, an experience to be avoided!

The Novotel experience was not a very positive one - firstly it came up as an accommodation for four (one double bed and two sofa beds) and I kept on wiring to the hotel to clarify if it was apt for four adults. No reply came but when we landed there - they asked us to take another room at an exhorbitant price. When we refused they agreed to let us stay in the same room which was not really for four. The pictures and suite concept is deceptive. It is really a largish room. Also the WC cistern was leaking and the ceiling was pouring down water the entire night.
