Non functioning A/C. Stayed for 6 hours with no aircon. All I wanted is few hours of sleep. Extremely disappointed. Wash basin was not draining and most of soap dispensers were not working. Extremely disappointed

We understand how important a comfortable and restful environment is, especially when all you needed was a few hours of uninterrupted sleep. Unfortunately, the non-functioning air conditioning caused significant discomfort, and we deeply regret the experience you had. We are equally concerned to learn that the wash basin was not draining properly and that several soap dispensers were not working. You faced a couple of unexpected disturbances during your stay, which we sincerely regret, and this certainly does not reflect the standards we strive to maintain. Please be assured that your feedback has been shared with the relevant departments so we can urgently review these issues and take corrective action to prevent such lapses in the future. During my one-night stay, I encountered two significant issues: 1. At approximately 3AM, I woke up to a strong smell of smoke, which caused concern for my family's safety. Upon checking, I found the corridor filled with smoke and immediately contacted the emergency number. The team assured me they were aware of the situation and that there was no danger, but I was not informed why such work was scheduled so late or why precautions were not taken to avoid disturbing guests. As a result, I was unable to sleep peacefully for the rest of the night. 2. When booking the room, I confirmed that airport pick-up and drop-off were complimentary. I reiterated this requirement during check-in, but was not informed that only the hourly shuttle service is free and other times are chargeable. I only learned of this limitation the next morning when I requested a pick-up, which I found unprofessional. The incident during the night disrupted my rest, and the lack of clarity regarding airport shuttle services added further stress. I did not expect these service gaps from Novotel.

Although our team confirmed that there was no immediate danger, we acknowledge that the situation caused unnecessary worry and disrupted your rest. To clarify, no maintenance work was being carried out by the hotel at that time; the smoke resulted from activities in another guest’s room, and our security team was already addressing the matter. We truly regret the concern this caused you and your family. We also deeply regret the miscommunication regarding the airport pick-up and drop-off services. While you had confirmed complimentary transfers during booking and check-in, we should have clearly explained that only the scheduled hourly shuttle service is complimentary, and any transfers outside those timings are chargeable. Not being informed of this in advance was unacceptable, and we understand the inconvenience and stress this created. Please rest assured that your feedback has been shared with the concerned teams, and we are reviewing our internal processes to ensure clearer communication and better guest experience in the future. Good and comfortable stay. I was surprised the hotel doesn't have shoe polish provision and they provide just the mit and also hotel do not give pen to use as they don't have. Rest everything was good.
