Nice hotel, reasonable breakfasts, two minute walk to the tram station, Tescos five minute walk, with KFC and Kristy Keene doughnuts across the road, Allows you a quiet nights sleep away from the noise of the city, get a tram saver four day ticket really convenient, We did the Zoo, allow 4 hours, the Castle, pre book as tickets sell out, allow 3 hours, Royal yacht Brittania, allow 3 hours, Arthur’s seat, allow 3 hours, National gallery’s allow three hours. and a general wander around Edinburgh city

I highly recommend coming here if you can. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant I chose the seared sea bass it was delicious, the brownie was lovely too. We had a cocktail too. The pool area was excellent, warm,inviting,clean, the sauna and steam room were lovely to relax in. They have nice loungers by the pool too for chilling before or after. The pool water is lovely and warm ! Towels outside the changing room very handy. Reception can lend you £1 coin for the lockers. They have actual changing cubicles and shower cubicles with closed doors as well as the communal Change bench area.

This hotel is fantastic. The staff are friendly and professional and our room towards front of hotel was clean, spacious for our family of 3 and very comfortable. The hotel is located right beside the trams and a shops so very convenient for accessing the city centre in minutes.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times, the gym, rooms, pool and general facilities are very good. On this stay the restaurant was the let down. The music in the restaurant on the evening I went was quite loud and it was “drill” style, singing about “niggers” and “bitches”, it was very distasteful and quite upsetting. It wasn’t just one song either. The service was extremely slow and the restaurant was not busy. The servers seemed to be more interested in setting up for breakfast than keeping their guests happy. I had to find mine to clear the table, order desert and pay the bill. The mains order was also incorrect with only one main coming when there was two of us sitting there and I ordered two. All in all very poor. Food was nice though. Also one other point, breakfast is good apart from the fried eggs, they are put under a heat lamp, big mistake for eggs, after being there for five mins they turn to rubber. They need to be placed over hot water with no heat lamp to keep them warm and not go hard.

Customer service was ok was told no rooms were available for early check in however kept seeing parties gettin room keys as we waited over 2 hrs to get a room key. It’s Conveniently located near tram however bed was super uncomfortable and outdated along with the sofa bed. The amenities however were amazing like pool, sauna and gym would be perfect with a furniture update.
