Property is fairly old and needs urgent refurbishment!

At first I booked 3 stays in Nanyang Pool Villa through Ctrip. When arrived, I am happy to know it's been upgraded to Myanmar Pool House due to Ctrip policy. However, the Myanmar Pool House doesn't satisfy my son - the pool is not no-edge style, and the depth is not fit. Besides, although it's called "villa", I don't feel any privacy. I can hear neighbor's cough clearly. Therefore, when my son want to change to the Luxury Family Pool Room, I contacted Ctrip and made abother reservation. After that, my husband and I have been to the reception desk at least 3 times from night to the next morning, until the room change been confirmed. This is the most unsatified thing ever happened. Every time the reception seems have no idea about this request - this is the most uncomfortable part. Hope it could be improved in future.

I booked the V. for 10 days which is one of the most expensive rooms to stay in and was very disappointed, the bathtub wasn’t working, the windows also not working, We had to change rooms twice…the staff can barely speak English, the food terrible as well and cocktail selection also limited… I can’t believe you can’t get a Baileys in the bar… we had to go everyday to have dinner to the Marriott, St Regis and the Ritz.. the hospitality also terrible we ordered room service and either they took 40-60 minutes to bring a bucket of ice or didn’t even showed up.. I would not stay here or recommend it to anybody… very disappointed

It looks like the former glory of Pullman Yalong Bay is long gone. Also there is some mile that some of the staff should go with their actions. 1. To start with, if I am paying for Majestic Villa (which I did), I should not be greeted with "we have upgraded you" -notification... 2. The villa we had was really outdated. When paying north of 400 usd/night one should expect at least warm water. So if the message that we gave after the first night didn't reach the management, I hope this does. Villa 7034 does not have proper water temperature ! In fact, if the hot water temperature is south of 40 C like it was, it may pose a health problem as the bacterial level is increasing on low temperatures. 3. When I am coming for a holiday and I have acquired a villa with a swimming pool, I would expect to have it in a swimmable condition. It looks that the water sanitation on that very villa was not in a proper level and it doesn't help much to get a pool boy to remove the trash collected only... you have to run the chlorine shots etc... 4. The breakfast was good but again outdated pads, broken tables and chairs, coffee machine that was not working and a staff who was not trained on fixing the easy things... c'mon, these things don't cost that much to get fixed but would make a big difference when working. 5. Buffet dinner was good and the self-service of wine excellent. 6. Room service app was working excellent, but not if you dont read chinese at all. Maybe a bit of a translation on critical items like phone number, room number buttons would make a difference. 7. Cleaning staff was excellent, fast and cheerful. All inquiries were attended promptly....good !

Overall, the stay was average. The hotel facility seems a bit not up to date. The check in service was slow and they gave me a three beds room where I only had one person. The server at the hotel also don't seem to know about basic information (e.g. when is breakfast).
