Our room was very comfortable and its a great location for events being held at Olympic park. The letdown for us is the wait times in the restaurant Bacaar. We had a 3 set course pre event menu and the food was really slow - we were still waiting for our dessert (and waiting 30 mins for two cocktails) when a waitress told us our time was up and she needed the table for the next booking. The wait time on drinks was also an obvious issue the following morning when it took 30 mins for our coffees - the breakfast meals came out quickly though. The staff are all lovely though they definitely need more staff on making drinks during both the evening service and on morning coffees. Also it was frustrating how long we had to wait for a lift during checkout time to get from our room on level 2 down to the lobby. We waited approx 15 mins for the lift. Surely stairs can be opened up for use during peak periods?

We paid the event rate of $670 for a superior king room and when we got there the room had 2 single beds. The staff were happy to zip them together but it was inconvenient for us to have to wait for the room to be made up properly. We also had to get the cleaners to come and reclean the bathroom because it smelt terribly of vomit from the people before us, even after we got back from our show late the bathroom still smelt very unpleasant of sick. Considering the rate we paid for the nights stay we were extremely disappointed, reception staff didn't seem to care much, just said they will make sure it's clean for the next lot of guests..

Staff were lovely. The only negative was something happened with my reservation and they couldn’t locate me for breakfast or when checking out. Nobody really explained what happened
