As we entered the room, we found the window was wide open, as we closed it and operated the AC, a heavy smell of cigarettes came out of the AC, and then we realized the reason for the open window. I went down to the front desk telling the lady about the cigarette smell and all she said was that the hotel is fully booked and there are no alternative rooms available, and she gave me a spray for the AC. In addition to the above, the AC was hardly cooling and made noises.

In my 1 month vacation in Italy, this is the only property that doesn’t provide drinking bottled water to its guests.

For what I needed, the hotel was fine. Affordable and in a location easy for me to get in and out of Salerno and the Amalfi coast for a trip. The room it’s self smelt off and had hairs in the bathroom (I work for Accor so I get it things get missed etc but it could be better) the breakfast however was horrible. Odd sausages, and inedible scramble eggs no real fruit selection. I’m not sure if sourcing affordable ingredients is hard around Salerno, but I stayed in 4 other Accor properties during my trip to Italy and all had better quality food. Staff however very friendly. The girl who checked me in, and I believe Giuseppe who helped with a transfer back to Naples. Would I come back? Probably due to location but I’d skip the food.

Stayed here for one night. Very hard beds and noisy rooms towards sea view. As Gold customer the experience was was extremely disappointi g. No aitomatic welcome gifts as the rules state and the welcome drink was so redisilous. The female bar attentand put the glass full of ice and gave minimum amount of Aperol to the glass and almost no prosecco to the glass due to extreme ampunt of glass. Another staff member also advised in front of us that one must choose much smaller glass for every welcome drink. Extremely unfriedly experience! Also the Gold Customer was totally neglected at arrival. No welcome gifts at all. Just cashing out loyal customers. Would not choose this hotel again due to the cash out attitude of the staff and the management. Your customers are not as stupid as you may expect.

Breakfast with low quality food (eg ham, cheese). Room was good, AC could be colder during warmer days.

We chose Novotel Salerno for our trip to explore the area as it was located very conveniently to Salerno centre, Amalfi coast, southern more relaxed beaches and its easy access at any time of day. The room was clean, although not maintained to a high std as it needs some works. The staff was polite, helpful and welcoming. When we go again in that area, we'll likely choose it again for our stay

Reception service excellent Room tiding poor. Used towels left in the room, bed blankets re-done inappropriately, one elevator out of 2 working, bathroom condition poor near to disgusting. Floor filthy.

Fantastic reception service but location not that great; poor service lift that stopped every floor and terrible eiom aircondition that blows hot air on hot summer day!

The staff is very helpful and friendly. The room (junior suite) we stayed in has lots of wear & tear (eg. the shower gel and shampoo dispenser was only stuck on the wall with tape and kept coming loose and dropped), and the air conditioner has a leaking problem so the closet was flooded, but thankfully the problem only occurred on our last night at the hotel. and we have reported the problem to the front desk.

We had a bad odour in the room because of the wet carpet first 2 days of our stay.

Well located, 5 minutes walk to restaurants and supermarket, about 10 to train station. Accessible to Salerno Concordia so it’s the best alternative to Amalfi hotels if you don’t mind travelling via ferry vs 500euro per night in Amalfi flooded with tourism. Clean room, relatively clean property. Only negative is it deviated from Novotel standards where water fountain and in-room espresso machine is missing. For an Italian hotel, an espresso machine missing and a bar without a dedicated bartender is sparse and underwhelming. Paid for early check in but the room was not ready. Friendly staff, good service.

We had a very good stay and honestly, it's far from Salerno city but if you have a rental car, it's less than 10mins drive and wonderful hotel to stay. Very good staff and helpful and good breakfast with a nice swimming pool. Overall, very convenient and a good place to stay.
