A disappointment, deformed mattresses and impolite staff

TripAdvisor rating 1.0/5

Vivekka TripAdvisor review

The most important thing about a hotel is the quality of sleep it provides, and in this regard this hotel fails completely, as it is unable to provide even a minimally restful sleep, for the beds are horrible, with deformed springs, and the pillows are hard as rocks. The towels were extremely worn, on the verge of tearing. The room is very small, and even so the air conditioning system seemed insufficient to cool the air. The minibar was noisy. As for the staff, they are cold, they don't know how to smile, they seem not to like their work, as they are always irritated and speak shouting, all of them. On this vacation, we've been to Venice, Florence, Rome and Naples. This was, without doubt, the worst hotel we stayed in Italy.

SOoooo expensive

Ugly ugly ugly. Really the lowest common denominator of chain hotels. And super expensive and kind of 250 e per night. Location suited us but yucky decor and hideous cafe and fridge situations. Depressing beyond belief. It was ships passing in the night rather than a nice hotel experience

Good Location, but rather 3 star standard

No room upgrade despite gold card and hotel not full sink in the room did not drain and room service did nothing about it View from breakfast terrace over Castel Nuovo is nice. Nice selection of sweet bakery goods, but fruit, cereal, bread and savory selection was basic. Scrambled eggs at breakfast were not from real eggs but from powder or homogenized liquid and the baked sausages were like rubber. No saucers for coffee and tea cups. Is that too much to ask for?

We stayed here for 3 nights after visiting Sorrento. Staff were friendly and the hotel is clean and modern and only 10 minutes walk from the ferry terminal. Our room was on the second floor, bright, clean and with a small balcony. The bathroom was a bit old and the shower took a while to warm up. It also had a balcony. Bed was comfy. We had high hopes for breakfast, but it was just ok. No bar at the hotel either.

Nice hotel with excellent trusted Driver (Mr. Pugliese)

The hotel has a beautiful terrace overlooking the port and the Gulf of Naples, giving breakfast a magical feeling. It is strategically located. Most of the Napoli downtown attractions are within walking distance. The hotel does not have a bar, and the room was quite small. The staff was very nice. The hotel put me in touch with their trusted driver, Mr. Francesco Pugliese. With him, I visited the Phlegraean Fields (Pozzuoli), Herculaneum, and Pompeii. I spent a pleasant day conversing with him, and he shared many unique anecdotes about the tourist attractions I was visiting and about the lives of Neapolitans. Pugliese explained all the issues related to the frequent earthquakes in the Phlegraean Fields, giving me insight into the lives of Neapolitans both in the present and at the time of the eruption of Vesuvius. Therefore, Pugliese is not only an excellent driver but also a knowledgeable guide. The price he charged for the day was fair. I recommend visiting the surroundings of Naples with him if you have little time but still want to see a wonderful area in a short time.
