Yogeshn Couples - TripAdvisor review

Just checked out of this hotel a day ago. We chose this hotel for the location and cost. Location: we took the bus from the airport and from the drop-off point at Garibald station, it was a 5-7 min walk, took us 1-2 min to orientate ourselves and then a short walk with the luggage. As stated before, in other posts, it is located down a small side street. While it looks dodgy, it's not any more (or less) 'dodgy looking' as compared to the rest of Napoli. Also, I never felt unsafe walking around the hotel, and we returned there after dinner around 10pm. Check-in: very friendly desk attendant. I do, however, have an issue with the hotel. We arrived at approximately noon and our room was ready at the time; however if we wanted to actually check in, as it was early, they charged us Eur20 to do so, otherwise we had to wait till the standard check in time. I've never experienced this before, and I do have an issue with it. Room: basic and comfortable. Nothing fancy, and it was what we expected for this standard of hotel and just for 1 night, it was acceptable.

This Ibis Styles has many plus points - close to the station/metro, fairly clean & tidy in the public areas, a nice terrace to sit outside (although usually full of smokers). Our room was pretty spacious. I'd normally leave it at that but, in 2024, we are charged quite a lot of money to stay in this class of hotel, which leads, in my case at least, to expectations being raised. I want full value for my money. So I will need to mention that the bathroom could really do with updating (see photos), the room was next to a railway and rumbled when trains passed and the the breakfast offering wasn't great. The choice is limited and the quality fairly low. We stayed for 5 nights but only received one bottle of water for our room - not very generous at all. There's no fridge or kettle in the room, both of which would be useful. Other people say the staff are friendly - they are, but only when approached. No one acknowledges you as you come into or out of the hotel. The hotel is a bit of an oasis of calm to return to after a day out in Naples but could be a lot better with a few little 'tweaks' here and there.

Stay for the location alone. So close to the railway station.

In a good location, close by to the main railway station. In a bit of a dodgy area but the whole of Naples feels dodgy. Good size room, clean and functional. Bed was ok, not the most comfortable but a good size shower which is rare. Breakfast was nice, a good selection of items.

A tour group hotel that doesn’t live up to its IBIS Brand. Majority of room face onto a busy railway line which is fine when windows are shut and central A/C switched on. Room itself was clean but very dated and expensive. Breakfast was a forgettable experience. The area is a maize and not pretty - it can feel uncomfortable but it’s ok. However, by Naples hotels standards it was passable for a single night.
