Enjoyed our stay here, was just as we expected and wanted for an overnight stop before heading on our cruise.we asked for a kettle from reception and brought our own milk and teabags. The server went out her way to make GF breakfast for our son the next day. Was great to use the EV chargers overnight also ahead of our journey home the following week.

The room had a separate toilet but the shower was in the actual bedroom which wasn't an issue for us as we're a couple but I wouldn't have been happy if I'd been staying with a friend. It was clean and warm. When one of us put the toilet light on throughout the night the panel light separating the hanging space from the bed began flashing on and off like a disco! Probably a loose connection but not ideal in the middle of the night. This was mentioned the next morning at reception along with the rat issue outside the hotel which was blamed on McDonald's being next door!

Arrived by train with 2 large cases. Very conveniently located to Southampton Central train station, easy to push our cases to the hotel. We arrived about tea time but no tea making facilities in the room. I went to reception to see if i could get a tea/coffee and the nice ladies on reception Katie & Lily gave me the 'tea bundle' including kettle, 2 cardboard cups, tea coffee milk sugar at no extra cost. The following morning borrowed a hairdryer from reception. Breakfast was £8.50 for a continental breakfast there or £12 for a full English opposite in the other Ibis hotel. Also a McDonald's directly behind the hotel. Also a Boots nearby if you've forgotten any holiday essentials. Also the reception guys Barry & Simon very helpful let us borrow a stapler to put cruise tags on cases. Extremely well located for Horizon dock 10, again easy to push our cases from hotel to cruise terminal. Would 100% use this hotel again. 10 min walk into Southampton city centre for restaurants etc. Also hotel near the National Express station

Just a place to have a sleep wouldn’t want to spend more than one night basically bed bathroom kettle on request a bit dirty and we were on the ground floor right by McDonald’s drive-through so very noisy and we saw a rat outside the window.

Booked a Saturday night stay by phone via the Accor customer service number which was straightforward - the adviser was pleasant and helpful. Checked in online the day before and on arrival everything was fine. Room basic but clean, shower and sink are part of main room - noticed a slightly odd odour in the toilet cubicle but nothing bad enough to report. Disappointed to find there was no kettle or tea/coffee making facilities in the room, however there is a small cafe downstairs next to reception but I didn't use it - McDonald's is right next door so I nipped in there. No glasses, only paper cups in the room, also a lack of power sockets - there's an extension cube wired into the wall below the TV with 2 plug points and usb points for charging devices but it's not close to a mirror if you want to do your hair. Location is very close to a retail park with lots of different shops - also West Quay shopping centre and IKEA a 5 minute walk away. I'm a light sleeper and noticed quite a lot of road noise at various times during the night, I could also hear people talking and laughing in the McDonald's and TGI Fridays car park 4 floors below, so I suspect the double glazing might need replacing! The shower was good, but realised there was no hairdryer so had to borrow one from reception. The guys on reception were very friendly and helpful, and went the extra mile for me so a big thank you to them for accommodating my requests. All in all a pleasant experience but I'd be curious to see how it compares to the other, non-budget Ibis which is practically next door.
