1. Cleanliness of public spaces is a concern. Lifts constantly smell putrid with no air conditioning. 2. No recognition of Platinum status 3. No welcome drink offered 4. Lounge is lacking of Sofitel standards. No breakfast. Only several drinks available. Hardly any food around.

From the moment we checked in, we were not welcomed properly despite being a gold member. Was told we are not allowed for early check in and have to come back at 2pm, and the rooms were old and tired and dirty. Tried the breakfast and it was the worst breakfast in a Accor group hotel I’ve been in. Won’t come back.

Very old hotel, very unprofessional service from the front desk keep talking to each other, as a platinum member no room upgrade, very bad as compare to other Sofitel, this is one of the worst.

The hotel is very old and has been very poorly maintained. The air-con is also very weak so even in springtime the rooms are uncomfortably hot by early morning. This is absolutely not Sofitel standard.

The room was just so ugly and old and the carpets were disgusting… this hotel is in a desperate need of renovation. I really don’t see this being Sofitel at all. The price is good and the staff was nice but my god, I was afraid to touch anything in the room because of how old and dirty it looked.

The staff here are amazing! A huge shout-out to Sally at the front desk for her excellent service. However, the elevators were a bit slow and made some strange noises. Also, even though it was cool outside, our room was uncomfortably hot (around 25°C). Guest services told us the temperature couldn't be lowered, and while they suggested opening the small window and gave us a fan, we still couldn't get a good night's sleep.

I had a very comfortable stay here. The hotel is well-maintained and provides a very relaxing atmosphere. The staff members are extremely kind and professional. Notably, the Platinum member benefits and the extra care shown by the team were outstanding. They really understand how to treat their loyal guests. If you are visiting Nanjing, I highly recommend staying at this hotel for their top-notch service and hospitality!

We appreciated the warm welcome, efficient staff, room upgrade, reliable internet, and complimentary minibar drinks. However, the stay was disappointing overall. The room felt dated, had a sewage smell, and the shower was left with long hairs. Despite our profile request for a quiet room, we were placed beside the elevators, causing noise issues. People were smoking on level 42 and putting their cigarettes out on the no smoking sign in the foyer, as our room was next tonthe foyer we smelled smoke. More seriously, someone entered our room despite the Do Not Disturb sign—a clear breach of privacy. The Club Lounge lacked promised offerings, food was stale, labelling was absent, and staff were largely inattentive. Loud electronic devices from children disrupted the atmosphere. Reporting the DND breach was frustrating: there were language barriers, a promised manager call never came, and later staff responded dismissively. No a five star hotel or experience.

The room was upgraded to Room 4522 but it has an unpleasant smell from toilet. The reception lady explained 'because the hotel is a bit old'.

Overall the stay was great , big rooms and a great city view. Being an Accor member I was upgraded which is always nice. Only thing was breakfast , I have booked 2 rooms,when I check in I was told I get 1 free breakfast per soon. When I got to the restaurant they told me it’s one booking per breakfast. Was a little annoyed at that. Didn’t end up having breakfast and left.
