I was pleasantly surprised with our stay at the Ibis in Christchurch. Staff were very attentive, helpful and welcoming. Facilities were great, everything in our room was just what we needed. The buffet breakfast was reasonably priced and had a good selection. Location in the CBD was great - as first timers, it was easy to find our hotel each day. Close enough to walk to and from all the key spots in the CBD. Would definitely stay again!

Nice location and good price. I had issues with my booking, placing it on the wrong date. I needed it moved forward one day, it was my mistake and was happy to pay the difference. This took about 8 phone calls and 4 days to sort out. In total the difference I had to pay was $5. It seemed that a simple change was made very difficult and stressful. The rooms are ok, small and feeling a bit out of date. I was surprised to see that they only supply body wash and no shampoo, bad sign of cost cutting. Breakfast was great, good selection of food for the additional cost, felt like really good value.
