Excellent service at reception and room very good for price. Picking up a meal at restaurant was very good too, staff uniformly efficient and pleasant including those whom one passed in the hall or lift. Also so close to Te Pae, Tūranga and Te Kaha it's hard to tell properly on map. Had a nice, too short stay!

My preferences is low level room, and we got the top floor, level 8. I said that is not my request and asked to change this, so they changed it to either level 4 or 5, we could not check in as we came early. But when we came back later in the day to go to our room, there is now different staff and we are on level 8 again. I mentioned this but they just looked at me, not helpful. The next day she apologised and said she made a mistake and gave us our water bottles and chocolate bars which is my gift as a Gold Member, these had actually been put in the room that we had changed to but were not given that room, because she made a mistake. What a mix up didn't think it could be that difficult. The restaurant was shut on the Monday night, why when its a public holiday and it looked like the hotel could have been full, no reason was given. However quite a good location, handy to everything that is about it for us.
