Perfect location, walkable to anywhere

TripAdvisor rating 5.0/5

Paul S TripAdvisor review

Perfect location, just outside the centre, but easily walkable to anywhere. The train station is a 20-minute walk for excursions or arriving from the airport. No problems with the room temperatures. The room is for sleeping, so it doesn't need a lot of space. Breakfast is 10 euros each if booked the day before, and as limitless is cheaper than anything outside.

Nice hotel, shame about the air conditioning in the rooms.

Hotel was nice but way too warm inside and the rooms were just too hot. Hotel told us there was no air conditioning, only heating so we switched off at the control on the wall. We opened the window to get air but of course the air was not cold so didn't make the room any more comfy for sleeping. A mosquito got into the room and we got bitten which was not pleasant. The hotel didn't care and we were not offered fans. Everything else was nice, including breakfast. Would not return in the warmer months as the rooms are just too hot without air conditioning.

Budget hotel worth a stay

This review may seem long winded and I do apologise in advance. This is one of the most eco friendly hotels I have stayed in. For once when I hung my towels on the rails in the bathroom they were not automatically replaced every day. In fact we went 3 days and despite the fact we still hung them up the maid very kindly replaced them. Unlike most hotels that replace towels even if you do hang them up everyday. The other good thing was they supplied filtered water in the bar area. Normally we would have bought numerous plastic bottles of water from a local shop to refill our reusable bottles. We literally saved loads of plastic by being able to refill. I can’t commend this hotel enough as even the ‘poshest’ of hotels fail to provide drinking water. The pillows can be a bit hard or just OK so ask at reception if you need more. Dont leave it as the man in your life can get very grumpy if he doesn’t get a good nights sleep on a hard pillow. The reception staff were OK. The bar man insisted Sauvignon balance I HEART wine was sweet and really tried to push me to buy another wine. I am sorry but it’s dry. Maybe get commission if he sells the other wine…….very odd. When we arrived the room was stiflingly hot and I went and asked for the AC to be put on. They said it wasn’t available in winter. We opened the windows and it cooled down. Unfortunately I got bitten to bits every night by mosquitoes as the hotel is next to a grassy storm drain. It wasn’t great and I had to get cream and anti histamines. Maybe they should consider this as some people,e don’t want to open the widows next to a swampy area and be bitten. The local pharmacy did supply me cream but I did suffer with numerous bites. The shower was great and can fit two people but did smell a bit through the drains and into the main bedroom. The mattress was comfortable and the room was quiet . We stayed in 319 mid corridor and heard little noise. The breakfast looked ok but we ate out. The bar area is modern but cold and a bit uninviting. Overall this hotel over the years has improved. This was our third stay and I may go back but I didn’t enjoy getting bitten to bits. It would be nice to have the option to not have to open the window to let some air and mosquitoes in
