When traveling abroad in a foreign environment I'd like to stay at a place where I don't have to deal with any problem. This was the case at the Pullman Stuttgart Fontana: It was easy to find, had plenty of space in the parking garage, the staff was very friendly/helpful/professional, check-in and check-out was quick, the room was new, clean, and comfortable, with enough power outlets, and the breakfast buffet had a good selection of tasty food.

There were a few issues: safe did not work and the wifi was dismal. Both issues were not immediately resolved. At reception one experience was excellent and the receptionist did everything possible to resolve the wifi issue, other receptionists were not as obliging. Restaurant staff was very friendly.

Check-in experience was great, and when I asked to change rooms, the front desk was very supportive and personally showed me a few room options. Where things could have been better: the rooms were too warm to sleep and the air conditioning was not functioning in my room. I asked the front desk to have maintenance take a look, but nothing was done. My only option was to open the window, which is limited on the 13th floor and adds more noise. I will have to pass on the Pullman until they give guests the open to turn on the air conditioning.

My wife and I were planning the Vaihingen, Basel, Firenze, Chianti and Rome trip since early 2025. This is to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary on Nov. 10. On June 24th, my wife passed away suddenly. I am still making this trip in order to memorialize our 35 years together. I made a note of this on my reservation, and the chief desk clerk, I "think" her name was Eva, had the hotel leave a beautiful note in my room. The Pullman Hotel, Vaihingen, is a wonderful place to stay.
