First, the staff was lovely and it’s clearly not their fault the hotel falsely advertises air conditioning. We specifically chose this hotel during the heat wave because AC was advertised. Unfortunately, it was sweltering throughout the entire hotel. Though they said a technician had been called, in reading other reviews (from a week ago to three years ago) this is such as persistent issue that it seems more likely that the air conditioning hasn’t worked in a very long time. I’m sure this is a nice hotel in the winter, but was miserable in the summer.

The AC was not working. We switched rooms, and still no AC. There was a heat wave in Stuttgart that day, but the hotel advertises AC. We had to sleep with the window open. Luckily the hotel did provide us with a desk fan, but the night was still miserable. Additionally, those closed the pool shortly before 10pm, even though thye postwd closing at 10pm, so we were not able to take a dip to cool off before bed.
