The room was comfortable, clean and well appointed. During my stay, I believed there was a miscommunication (or should I say a lack of communication?) between the club lounge and the front desk, and as a result I would not get the type of suite i requested for, but the issue was satisfactorily resolved by the duty manager in the end. And the staff concerned also sincerely apologized to us. Despite that, the experience was still a bit frustrating and unpleasant. I really looked forward to the newly renovated club lounge but i was disappointed to find out that there is actually not much change except some new sofas and carpet, and maybe new ceiling lighting. The dining area basically just looks the same (a bit dated) without much freshing-up. But the biggest disappointment to me is that the food quality of the lounge was not as good as before, really a huge setback. I simply found a bowl of corn, bell pepper, beetroot, baked beans, potato, beacon etc. etc., for their afternoon tea and cocktail hours, a serious lack of finesse with the food, like even to the point that the kitchen was like just too lazy to think about serving better foods at the lounge for their guests! Last time when i stayed in Sofitel, the lounge was moved to 3/F temporarily due to renovation. At the time, the foods served were way much better.

Dear Mr. Nopphon Tangthai, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for your exceptional help during our recent stay. When I lost my item in the hotel lobby and later learned that it had been taken by someone who was not a hotel guest, I was understandably very distressed. Despite the situation not being directly caused by the hotel, you personally took the time to review the CCTV footage and kept us informed with great professionalism and empathy. We were truly touched by your sense of responsibility when you explained that, although the person was not staying at the hotel, the incident happened within the hotel premises and you felt deeply sorry for what occurred. We were especially grateful that you asked where we had purchased the item, arranged to buy a replacement for us, and kindly shipped it to our home in Singapore. On top of that, arranging the airport transfer for us was an incredibly thoughtful gesture that meant a great deal to us. Your kindness, professionalism, and genuine care turned what could have been a very upsetting experience into one that we will always remember with appreciation. Because of you, we feel even more confident recommending your hotel to friends and family. Thank you once again for going above and beyond to help us.
