rooms - toilets very poorly designed, positioning of the toilets against the wall is extremely uncomfortable and barely any room, never experienced this layout before - its ridiculous. Pillows were uncomfortable, bed duvet not very clean breakfast - ok but could be better, offerings were limited and salad bar etc is so far away from the main area, very strange layout. foods especially fruit section is very limited and not very well replenished, had to ask staff a few times to replenish empty plates, not a good look for a '5 star' hotel pool area - again, the design and positioning of this is unsatisfactory. you only get sunlight in the morning till 11am before the sun then is behind the building for the rest of the day, should've been designed so the pool is on the other side of building, not sure why this wasn't taken into consideration during initial construction. I've stayed in plenty of major cities like Dubai, Singapore etc where its mainly highrises and hotels located in the city however all these hotels have been correctly designed so that their pools are positioned / laid out correctly based on the sun's movements during the day club millesime lounge - trialled this during my stay, the 2:30pm offerings were so minimal and unsatisfactory, evening offerings were better. need to thoroughly improve the early afternoon offerings, based on this, cannot rationalise the additional cost for a guest paying for this access, it is NOT value for money.

The concierge still recognises me after sometime of absence as this hotel was a regular choice for me back in those days where I used to stay during work trips.

It was my first stay in Bangkok, and choosing Sofitel Sukhumvit was the perfect decision. Everyone at Sofitel made my visit as smooth as possible. It was meant to be my b-day treat but I ended up working in the room with many hours of Zoom calls. I loved all the restaurants, especially Belga on the rooftop. And a nice birthday cake was delivered to my room as a surprise! They kindly assigned me a corner room, quiet to focus when I had to work while getting enough sunlight during the day, and a night view in the evening. But just doorstep outside the hotel, you have every excitement in walking distance. So I ended up taking 4-5 meals a day in and out of the hotel - to make the best of my short trip. Sadly, I couldn't try Maison Mizuki this time due to maintenance but would love to revisit to check that place out in the near future. All the staff were very professional and friendly, and I thank every single one of them.
