Well, starting by approaching the desk for check in at about 1300, we were snapped at by the receptionist on duty "Check in begins at 1500", not giving me any time to explain that as I was a gold member, I was entitled to an early check-in (if available). A benefit of ALL Membership that was ironically displayed not ten feet from her desk. The room was fine; housekeeping sporadic. Beds were made but dirty cups were left on the table; glasses removed but not always replaced. Basically, it seemed to be operated on an overall minimal effort. There were, of course, some friendly and helpful staff, but unfortunately their efforts were overshadowed by their disengaged and lethargic colleagues. The restaurant was OK (great Sorrell soup), but nothing special, and the purported f/b discount offered to Voyager members was unknown. I think a great deal of training is in order.

At the same time, we would like to clarify that early check-in as part of the ALL loyalty program is one of the privileges offered subject to room availability on the day of arrival and unfortunately cannot be guaranteed. Nevertheless, we are sorry that the way this information was communicated was not polite and professional. We are also sorry for the inconsistent standard of housekeeping services and the shortcomings in the restaurant service. Your comments have been passed on to the managers of the relevant departments and will be used during additional training to improve service quality and provide a more consistent experience to all guests. Thank you for appreciating those members of our team who were helpful and kind, and also for the kind words about the sorrel soup. We're glad that at least these aspects of your stay left a positive impression. We hope that despite the inconveniences you mentioned, you will give us another chance to regain your trust and that we can provide a stay at the level you have the right to expect. Easy check in staff were friendly, welcoming and professional.Food in restaurant was good and staff great. Room was no better than a Travelodge and we were in room that was supposedly re vamped. Uncomfortable bed with sheets that don’t fit properly and my mattress was badly stained, bathroom sink took forever to drain. Shower was revamped but no overhead/rainfall fixture. No usb slots for charging. Not sure how it manages to be 4*
