Hi There. I have a temporary back injury. The hotel concierge (I wish I had his name), young guy with curly hair was fantastic in assisting me. I was too sore to stand in the long queue for check in. He took me to the bar, and made sure I was comfortable. Ordered a drink for me. Came back to get me when the queue had gone. Helped me to my room with my bag. Came back to replace the battery in my door, that was flashing red. Couldn't have asked for more, he was fabulous. There was a mix up with my booking at our end and it turned out that I had not been booked in. Possibly not too many rooms left available. One closer to the lift would have been good as I struggled to walk all the way to my room by the end of the day as back so sore. Anyway, a closure one may not have been available. I do wonder if the hotel has a wheelchair on site, to assist people when required? Never think of these things until you hurt yourself of course. Anyway, thank you for a lovely experience and I really hope the positive feedback is passed on to the staff member involved. Thank you again. Regards Jacqui

I travel to Auckland every 3 months. First time staying at Ellerslie on recommendation of a colleague as it is convenient to my office, likely I will not stay again. Room service: Ordered room service, they delivered a Chicken burger when I ordered the beef, which was completely ok as they realized the mix up and called me and apologised just as I had discovered myself after biting into it. The replacement beef burger was horrible. The beef was just thick chunks of overcooked steak as tough as leather that I could not chew through at all, very unpleasant to try and eat and I don't recall it being marked as a steak sandwich, it was virtually inedible. On check out I asked for the bill/invoice and was told to write down my email address, as I started writing I suggested you should already have it on file to which they said yes ok we have it and read it out. Invoice never arrived. I have now emailed to the address that was provided in my booking for the location (h3…) and still have received nothing so cant claim the cost of my trip back which I normally have to do within 24 hours.
