My husband and I recently enjoyed a very good return stay at So/Auckland. The hotel is in a really convenient position and the harbour views are excellent from Harbour Society and our usual front room. The only downside to our visit on this occasion was the fact that our dinner at Harbour Society was not as good as usual. The ambience is very good and the service is always excellent and very friendly, however, the food in the past has always been delicious, but, during our stay this time it was quite disappointing. We usually always eat most of our meals at the restaurant and we often use the venue to entertain guests, but we chose to eat elsewhere on all but one evening during this last stay. The menu choices seem smaller than they used to be and our one evening meal was very disappointing. On a more positive note, the Club Lounge is improving, with better choices of wine and very attentive and friendly service from Carla.
