We enjoyed our stay however it was very dissapointing to arrive to go to the rooftop bar and be told it is shut for a wedding. We booked the room with the plan to have some drinks at the rooftop bar and snacks plus we had friends meeting us there. This was definitely the selling point for us to stay at the hotel and the staff were not too emphathetic about it. Very dissapointed this this.

So/ has a great location near Britomart and Queens Street with amazing shops and eats nearby. The hotel itself had a luxurious atmosphere with huge rooms, outstanding housekeeping, and lovely views of the city and harbour. I loved how all complementaries were restocked and the room was spotless every time housekeeping came in. All staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, I didn’t even need to ask any questions as they were all answered upon arrival by Mika! I would 100% stay at this hotel again and recommended it to friends and family. One note is that I was overcharged over $500 and it’s unclear whether or not my $100 security deposit has been refunded yet. A few days later my $500 was back into my account, not sure if that is including my deposit or not. Either way the situation is seemingly overcome and I wouldn’t let that stop me from staying at So/ Hotel in the future.

The room set up is very modern, but impractical. Bed was comfy. I could hear through the walls and the street below. Booking said parking was free but cost me $130 which I only found out when checking out.
