I paid for superior room , it’s a double room but there was only one glass, I had to ask for another glass, I had to ask for an extra card for the room, the volume on the TV was programmed up to 30, unfortunately if the window was open it was impossible to hear the TV, because their were road works outside our window, the chrome cast was unstable, the internet was unstable, this is the second time I have stayed at the Mercury, I was not impressed the first time, and this time confirmed reservations, the staff were polite, but everything else was not worth the £486.00, I don’t mind paying for a hotel with good facilities, but the facilities didn’t live up to the over inflated price, one coffee machine at breakfast, the breakfast doesn’t offer enough of a selection of bread, for example, the breakfast is more bed and breakfast than hotel breakfast standard.

From the moment we checked in until check out the staff at the hotel was so professional, so accommodating, and so nice to work with. Given the location centrality to so many tourist sites I felt the nightly rates were more than reasonable. We stayed at a fancier hotel with lovely views after we left, but I immediately regretted not staying at Mercure Bankside for that extra night. I have already recommended this hotel to a relative and a friend. Also, I would like to give a shout out to the lovely restaurant within the hotel and their staff. The food was really well done, and the staff was approachable and professional.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Mercure London Bankside. The only thing I have to complain is the dirty floor in the bathroom during our stay and glasses and cups were not changed although they were used. After the third day we got one new glass...for three guests. Water machine outside the room is really good but the bottle was still half full when we arrived. I hat to clean it before use.
