Overall, we had an outstanding experience at the hotel. The building, grounds, and accommodations were excellent, and staff were generally quite pleasant, satisfying our expectations, and making our experience enjoyable. I'm certain everyone in our party of four would enjoy a return visit. There were, however, a few areas of imperfection. Notably, a mold issue in the otherwise wonderful spa, primarily above the windows in the pool area, caused concern. Additionally, we terminated our intended dining experience at Oriole when it became apparent that the the combination of available menu choices, and the less-than-enthusiastic attitude by a particular member of the waitstaff, would have resulted in an unhappy experience. Memorably, the quiet, elevated atmosphere of the hotel, the typically pleasant and welcoming demeanor of staff, and the high standard of accommodations resulted in a very enjoyable experience for our party.

I stayed with my two teenage boys. We are from Australia. I do not usually stay at such a luxurious hotel but I decided we would treat ourselves. Honestly this is one of the best decisions of our whole trip around Europe. The proximity of the hotel to all the fantastic Amsterdam shops, the extraordinarily lovely helpful staff and the physical environment of the hotel - so steeped in rich history. A wonderful stay.

My wife and I enjoyed a 5 night stay at Sofitel Legend Amsterdam. Hotel is ideally located in city centre. Hotel reception were courteous and helpful. Our room was a good size, with reasonable sitting area and very comfortable bed. We were very happy with the bathroom which had plenty of space for all our toiletries and a large walk in shower. Housekeeping did an excellent job. The breakfast is fantastic. Overall a great hotel which we certainly be staying at in 2026.
