Faulty items in the room and for the jacked up price for the AC/DC concert everything should be working as expected

Dear Andrew, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m truly sorry to hear that your stay did not meet expectations, especially during such a busy period. It’s disappointing to learn that there were faulty items in your room — this is certainly not the experience we aim to provide, and I understand how frustrating this must have been, particularly given the higher demand and pricing around the event. Please know that your comments are taken very seriously. I will ensure our maintenance team investigates the issues you encountered so we can prevent this from happening again. We genuinely appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as it helps us improve. If your travels bring you back to the area, we would welcome the opportunity to offer you a smoother and more enjoyable stay. Warm regards, Grace | Assistant Night Manager

This was one of the worst hotel experiences we have had in recent years, there is almost too many things to include about all the ways it wasn't great. The first night we were there the street noise and general noise around the hotel was ridiculous. Had we known there would be a hugely busy event night with a nearby concert happening on we would have chosen to stay elsewhere, no one let us know this was on. There was also a huge amount of dance competitors in the hotel which added to the continual noise issues. As my son was competing in a national sport competition on the 30/11 he really needed a good nights sleep. This noise prevented him from sleeping until midnight which affected his performance the following day which he only has one shot at. The amount of training he has completed for this moment is extensive so he needed that rest. We requested a room move on the night and were told no, the only solution was to provide us with ear plugs. Asking a child to wear earplugs to sleep when they aren't used to them isn't the greatest solution. On top of this there was a heap of lights outside that shone back into the rooms at night time, I can't work out why you would have red lights shining INTO/UP the guest room windows of an evening, the curtains didn't block out all that light either. The lifts were hugely busy, too small and not equipped to suitably service the amount of people trying to get up and down in the morning. This caused us an over 15 minute wait to get the lift and for the rest of the time we were with you meant that we had to allow at least 5-15 minutes extra time simply to exit the hotel, not ideal. This caused us to be late to our first event day, and if we were informed you were full and this could be an issue we would have allowed for this. When the lift did stop on our floor it wasn't big enough to fit us in so hence making the wait times longer. The card system in the lift is absolutely ridiculous. In other hotels it's a simple tap and press the floor number, with this system you have to insert the card, wait until it goes green then press the floor number, it's super cumbersome. It was not explained at check in that this was needed so there was confusion about how to use this the first time we entered the lift, we felt stupid making people wait while we worked it out. On the second day we went to return up the lift to our room and the card reader was broken, we went to reception to be told to "just use the left hand side lift" only problem with this was every time we pressed the button to go up the right hand lift doors kept opening. This caused a frustrating wait, when we returned to reception the manager came and had to use his keys to get us up to our room, another wait. Your beds are single handedly the the softest most uncomfy beds I have ever slept in, in a hotel, and given the pillows are super high and fluffy, you have to sleep in a banana position that is super uncomfy for your body. The beds were so soft they almost seemed broken and due to this our son kept rolling into us overnight meaning he (and us) had the most disrupted nights sleep. The breakfast is disappointing as well, the bread next to the toaster was so stale and the toaster took 3 goes before it toasted the bread. All in all it was a stay where if one of these things was an issue it would be fine, but it was a lot of smaller things equating to a really disappointing stay overall. We stay in a lot of different hotels and couldn't quite believe how bad it all was when we thought about it in one instance and some things could have been solved with simple communication.

Room was a little tired and dated. Air con didn't work (couldn't set temp)and room was so hot. Went to lobby for assistance - they sent someone up to look at air con, it helped a bit but still didnt get to temp i like. Made the evening very uncomfortable.
