Healsby Couples - TripAdvisor review

Waited 20 minutes to check in owing to others waiting and only one employee manning reception. No air conditioning at this hotel and no fans available meant for an incredibly uncomfortable night. Room felt like a prison cell; shower/toilet one plastic unit that had an odour of urine and supplied with a squeegee to remove water from the toilet floor as no way to avoid soaking the toilet and floor with water when taking a shower. Lots of noise into the early hours with patrons arriving. Stairs only so if on the higher floors you need to be able to carry your luggage.

Local German Admin Cancels Booking at Will

Although the Accor App confirmed that my booking was "confirmed & Secured" and that I had to pay at the hotel, the hotel admin cancelled the booking because they thought my credit card would not work (which is ridiculous, since I am a very active traveller....). Against the Accor global rules, they tried to use my card (without my ahuthorisation) and then claimed that it wouldn't work. The Accor rules say that you can secure the booking by providing you CC details, but they can only claim the fee if you did't show up until noon next day. We shoed up at 11pm same day and were told our room has been cancelled......Itiots, really?

The application produced two relevant pieces of information regarding the booking: 1. It said “confirmed & secured” 2. Pay at the hotel What happened: Hotel admin cancelled the room I arrived after 900 km trip at 23:00 The only nice people were the security person which saved the situation

The stay was nice. However, the front desk lady was upset with me that I booked a reservation through the ibis website and did not pay with a credit card, I opted to chose on the spot. I didn't understand why she got frustrated with me since I even used the ibis website, but it was particularly unfriendly. I offered to stay at another hotel if it was such a huge hassle to charge my card 50$
