I used to travel a lot for business and therefore have an extensive experience in hotel stays . I haven’t been staying in an Accor property for a long time and the overall experience was very disappointing (price not including taxes, some defective equipment, the staff pushing to not clean the room every single day,,.....)

Nice hotel spacious rooms and close to hip Neustad Buntes Republik Neustad, tramway and train nearby easy going in the city and in walking distance from pub street. Staff is friendly and helping to make your stay pleasurable

Good location, clean and efficient. Value for money. Remember location is Neustadt so parking is difficult and construction work is on-going.

This is a budget hotel in a quirky area of Dresden, below the usual level of the Ibis Styles brand. The room was OK, but too dark to read in the evening, and our bathroom was so small that the shower cabin door couldn't be opened properly. Cleaning was rather superficially done, but the wifi worked well, and breakfast was good. However, the staff wasn't too committed to service or quality: we had planned to stay there 4 nights, but left after one, and nobody even bothered to ask why we were leaving. And I got a parking ticket that could have been avoided: when we arrived, the receptionist told me that the hotel didn't have any parking facilities (despite listing “public outdoor parking” as a service), but I could park anywhere in the street for free. It was difficult to find parking space, so when I finally found a spot in a parallel street, I was happy to leave the car there. When the next day I found a ticket for illegal parking, the same receptionist said that of course, in certain areas it was not allowed to park. I asked why she hadn't said anything about this the night before, and she just shrugged, we were already leaving anyway, so she clearly couldn't care less. I sent a complaint to Accor support, they replied immediately that they forwarded it to the Ibis Styles Dresden Neustadt which would take care of my file and would return to me as soon as possible – well, they haven’t. So I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel is in the Neustadt, which is a fun area but not the historic old town. Reception did not speak much English but this was not a problem for us. The security of the hotel was not strong: easy to walk in from the street without being seen and access any room. Our room was huge and modern and the beds were comfortable but the air con and the minibar/fridge did not work. Breakfast was good but not included (in France, Ibis Styles breakfast is included with the room).
