The rooms and hallways needed a bit more attention. Carpet was in need of a clean. Room was recently renovated but not noticeably.

Dear Nicole, Thank you for reviewing your recent stay with us. I am pleased to hear that our staff were friendly and helpful. I am sorry that aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. Level 6 was refurbished five years ago and is due for a refresh. We are replacing the corridor carpets and refreshing the corridors next year, which I am confident will enhance the overall experience. I also apologise for the inconvenience caused when your room key stopped working. While our front desk is staffed 24 hours, there are occasional brief moments overnight (11pm–7am) when a team member may step away. During these times, a sign with the Duty Manager’s mobile number is displayed, and they are always in the building and only moments away from the desk. Thank you again for your feedback. Room and arrival was lovely. However, holding payment taken was not for $1 but the room fee, which was taken at the same time as the room fee was paid. Over a week later and this has not been taken off the account. Further to this, the team was advised via email of the need to cancel the pre-purchased breakfast and have this refunded. However, as they were busy at check-out, nothing was stated whether this would occur. I called later to be advised although I had emailed prior to the breakfast, as I had checked out, I could not be refunded. I love Accor hotels and usually rave about Parramatta Mercure. However, the service this visit was sub-par and I'm still awaiting my money to be returned for the holding payment error, even while accepting the disappointing approach to breakfast.

Beds were two singles put together and kept moving when sleeping. Was charged a higher interest rate for credit card then what should’ve been allowed.

While some of our rooms do feature twin beds that zip together, these should always be secured to ensure a comfortable night’s sleep, and I regret that this was not the case during your stay. I am also sorry for the frustration caused by the credit card surcharge. We aim to be transparent with all charges, and I apologise if this was not communicated clearly at the time of payment.
