We normally stay at Ibis Styles on St.Andrews Square but unfortunately it was fully booked so we decided to try this one, location is great but it’s very basic, breakfast was horrible, coffee machines dusty, not much food to choose from and of very average quality, no hot water in the morning due to some sort of breakdown so all in all very disappointing experience.

Perfect location, however there was an issue with the hot water. It can happen, but there was no communication to the guests, we just had ice cold showers with no explanation and a fully booked hotel.

We spent 2 nights here and it was a perfect location to explore the Royal Mile and surrounding areas. Everything is very walkable, so that was the best thing about it for sure. It was also very clean, and the staff were great. The room itself though, was a little disappointing. The problem with being in the action...is that it is very loud...all night long. The beds were nothing more than a mattress pad, so be prepared for that. The room we got was supposed to be accessible, so a little larger, but it felt like a walk in closet. There is no way anyone who actually required accessibility would be able to move around that room. Would we stay there again? Maybe.

The manager and staff were so very kind and accommodating. When asked to be switched to an alternate room, they provided a room that fit my needs and made my 5 night experience in Edinburg so very pleasurable.

My room was tiny, and the window looked out onto an internal wall. But the worst issue was that the hotel had no hot water, so the next morning I had to have a cold shower before I went about my day...the worst bit was that they knew about it and never advised me.
