I booked the bridal suite the night before our wedding and the night of. Was a bit disappointed that we were allocated a room quite a walk from our ceremony space (think walking in a wedding dress and heels, not ideal) and not the rooms shown at their open day. I had to wash my hair the day before & then shower started flooding. Had to quickly finish up and found the drain was full of hair!! that has never been cleaned! I called reception at 4pm and was told they'll come asap when available. I went to reception at 5.20pm and was told housekeeping wasnt in till 6pm! was not told that on the phone. I cant wait around, i cant rewash my hair, i had plans that night. they came at 5.50pm. Otherwise the rest of the room was great. Also when we came back from our bridal photos we got to go back to the room but both our key cards weren't working and my husband had to run to reception. we have been here before years ago and love it but this time experienced a few issues.

We recently stayed at The Vines Resort, which we visit regularly (around once a year), and have always really enjoyed. A big part of why we return is the opportunity to stay close to the pool area, as it allows our children easy access and helps us feel connected to the main resort atmosphere. We always include this as a request when booking. On this occasion, I called ahead and was advised this may not be possible, which was a little disappointing. Upon arrival, we were allocated a room at the back of the hotel overlooking the car park. We found that the floodlights remained on overnight, and without the blackout blinds fully closed, the light came into the room, which took away from the relaxing resort feel we’ve previously experienced. We also noticed that guests below us were smoking in the outdoor area, which at times drifted up into our room when the door was open, and wasn’t ideal with children. In addition, during our meal at the restaurant, our child’s meal was served with chips that were still frozen, which we assume was an oversight. We completely understand that availability and operational factors can impact stays, however this experience felt quite different from what we’ve come to expect. As returning guests, we did feel a little disappointed overall. We hope this feedback is helpful, and we would certainly appreciate any consideration you might be able to offer. We have always enjoyed coming to the resort and would love to continue visiting in the future.
