As above. Only (and very minor grumble) was that my room was right at the end of the corridor and opposite some rooms which were having repairs done. The workers left debris outside that room, and I could hear hammering etc noises from inside my room. But as this was during business hours its wasn't too problematic. Given these works, and that the hotel didn't look fully occupied I'd have thought a better room (away from these works) could have been provided. All that said, I didn't raise this as I was only staying one night. More a reminder that perhaps more common sense needs to be in room allocation.

When I checked in, the bloke checking me in wanted me to give him my bank card details cause you guys don’t have it on file. I told him I don’t have a physical card and don’t want you to have it on file. He started preaching and telling me how I needed to get a photo of the bank card to bring in for them, or he’d have to charge me $100 (deposit). I told him I was happy to pay the deposit and dismissed it. He then asked for my email address, I gave him my work email as my travel is work related. He told me he needed my personal email address, I told him I wasn’t going to give him my personal one, he said he needed it and he already had it of file. I told him I didn’t want you to have it and asked if he could delete it. He pushed back a couple of times and kept asking me for it, I refused. He then asked me for my drivers licence again, which I had already handed to him and read the drivers license numbers out to him when I first got there. I handed it back over to him. When I was finally checked in and heading to the elevator he told me to get a photo of my bank card or he’ll charge me next time (not, you’ll have to pay a deposit, I will charge you!). I told him I’m happy to pay a deposit. So, he got my drivers license number, got all the details from my drivers license (address, dob, etc), asked for my bank card numbers and details, personal email address, which he claimed he already had access to. Had all the information I’ve already provided through booking. I have never had to give so much personal information when checking into a hotel that I’ve already paid for. It makes me uncomfortable and feels like my privacy is being invaded. I have been trying multiple hotels to find one to use regularly (twice a month traveling too and from work) I won’t be staying here again.

As part of our standard check-in and security procedures, all guests are required to provide valid identification and a payment method for incidentals. Where a guest is unable to present a physical or digital card for tap verification, our team may request alternative card verification details or advise that a refundable security deposit will apply instead. This process is in place to protect both guests and the property and is standard practice across many accommodation providers. Similarly, confirming guest contact details, including an email address, forms part of the reservation verification process. We respect that some guests may prefer to limit the information they provide, and we always aim to accommodate reasonable requests where possible within operational and compliance requirements. We regret that the communication during your check-in was perceived as confrontational or uncomfortable. Our staff were just attempting to explain the available check-in options and requirements. You pay for a late check out and you still have a cleaner come barge in to your room. Cleaners and receptionist do not communicate. When I went to tell the receptionist the only thing they mention is cleaners don’t come in on sundays. Who else would have a key to my room??? They even knocked once and by the time I said no they walk straight in and asking what time we are checking out! Plus this is not the first time this has happened to me . It happens EVERY TIME I stay!
