This was my 7th stay at ibis Styles this year, and I have always loved this hotel. The rooms are lovely, and the bed is very comfortable, and I’ve consistently enjoyed my stays here. However, on this occasion, the front desk service was very unprofessional and fell well below the standard I have experienced during my previous visits. However, this stay was disappointing due to poor check-in and handover communication. I booked this stay with my partner. Prior to arrival, I called the hotel twice to confirm that my partner would be checking in earlier, as my shift finished at 6:00 pm. I was advised that this would be fine, and I have checked in later on previous stays without issue. When my partner arrived, he was initially told that he could not be checked in. He was left waiting at reception for around 20 minutes. Eventually, for reasons that were not clearly explained, the receptionist allowed him to check in. I arrived later, around 7:00 pm, presented my ID, and was advised that my credit card would be used for payment. I provided my card and later received an invoice showing my credit card details. However, at checkout, my partner was again told that his credit card needed to be charged, which was very confusing and inconsistent with what I had been told. Overall, the repeated miscommunication caused unnecessary stress. I wanted my partner to have a comfortable and relaxing stay, especially as he had just returned from Sydney and was tired. Instead, the experience was frustrating and embarrassing, as I had clearly advised that I would be covering the payment for the stay.

Stay regularly - menu rarely changes. Registered for fast check out, though have to call for an expenditure statement after every visit

I have stayed at several Ibis hotels so far and have never been dissatisfied with the accessibility. However, I would just like to mention that the room at your hotel would be more accessible for me if the bed height was closer to that of a standard wheelchair (45–50 cm). I know high beds are trendy nowadays but I can not transfer onto them from my wheelchair without the assistance. Another thing are soap dispensers in the bathroom which are fixed on the wall. I asked at the reception to take one down because I had difficulty to reach them. I think it would be great if soap dispensers were not fixed on the wall in the accessbile room.

Stayed at this hotel in East Perth, which is about 2km away from CBD. Hotel is easily accessible to bus routes, which are free within the free zone. Hotel was clean, comfortable but just a bit small. Overall, nice stay
