No notification about Renovation

I was expecting to see a notification that renovation activities are taking place in the hotel and that the reception is relocated , and that the restaurant is not working. This is how i expect professional hotels to do, so i can take decision whether to continue booking or to cancel. Due to the above surprises, i struggled to reach the hotel because the taxi driver couldn’t take me to the location of reception and i kept trying to find it walking on my foot in the heat (28 degrees). And to make it more (fun) to me i was not able to order food in room service and again had to walk outside the hotel to find a restaurant !
